Record next year

Followed Brian Kelly in a weaker conference and went 4-8.

Is following Derek Dooley in a stronger conference ... 1st 8 loss season in history looks pretty likely. If he can catch a break or two and win 4.

The conference is irrelevant. He was in te big east with big east talent. Now he's in the sec with sec talent.

currently 11th in the SEC per rivals. kiffin and dooley both landed top ten classes their first year.

Dooley kept kiffin's class together.

And take a look at kiffin's class now, are you really dense enough to think that should have been a top ten class?

Dooley left us in a rough place on the recruiting trail, but we're digging our way out. And next years class will be great.

100% wins: 1#Vandy(we r out 4 blood) #2UK (no mercy)#3.4.5 SA,WKU,APSU( Our cupcakes)#6Aub(At HOME)#7mizz(out 4 blood)#8UGA( at HOME). Now,we are left with an Oregon team we can beat;a florida team we can beat AT THE SWAMP&ZOO. and SoCar AT HOME we can beat, and bammer we can beat if all goes our way. That`s 8 wins minimum.

Don't tase me bro

Florida is always the pivital game that will say how our season will go. I honestly think we can finish third in the east. Louisville laid out the blueprint on florida.

I think we'll beat GA next year contrary to what everyone on here is saying. They lost a ton of talent this year.

It will be a day in hell when I expect Candy to beat us. That includes this year in Knoxville.

6-6 / 7-5, but we'll look better. Got good vibes about CBJ...but that's it...vibes, no real solid reason.

I did not say that it was a great class -- I said that rivals ranked it top ten in the country. Which, most of the time, is better than being ranked 11th in the SEC.

Except of course for those dense enough to think that they KNOW how 2014 and beyond will play out.

5-7 at best. Still too many defensive holes to plug and i don't see the bodies to fill the holes. This also assumes our offense doesn't stagnate into a run, run, run, punt offense. If so, we won't win 5.

We have some truly dumb fans. Anyone penciling in fla or GA as wins knows very little about football.

8-4 (5-3)

I think we are going to shock people this year. I believe in Butch. I have been excited about the season since Butch was hired but this thread got me down. It is an eye opener that some people are predicting only 3 or 4 wins.

Should be wins: Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, South Alabama and Kentucky

Most Likely Losses: Alabama

The other 7 teams I break down as follows:

Oregon: We will probably lose to Oregon, but we can hope that it takes them into October to get settled under their new coach.

Florida: Florida was a team that should have went 6-6 last year, but found ways to win. If they do not improve their offense and have new guys step up on defense this game could be very interesting. (of course this is assuming we have at least a mediocre and motivated defense).

Georgia and South Carolina: Tennessee always plays these two tough. Both teams make mistakes to keep their opponents in it until the end. These games could go either way.

Mizzou: If Tennessee had half a defense Mizzou would have not beat us last year. A good disciplined defense and balanced offense, Mizzou will not be able to win.

Auburn: There were not many teams worse than TN in the SEC last year but Auburn was. Tennessee has more contributors still around and Auburn had no offense and not much defense. The home team gets the edge.

Vandy: Tennessee has been the most talented for years and still is. But Franklin has Vandy playing motivated and believing what he is preaching. This game is in Knoxville and if Tennessee can play disciplined and motivated. Tennessee will take this one home.
