We're not going to take LT Walker unless we miss out on both Mullins and Patterson. Even then we might not take him. As it stands, he's going elsewhere. As for Patterson, I think it's between us and South Carolina......but Auburn is going to try and jump in there this weekend.

yeah i really dont know why i went with walker or patterson to tell you the truth. And the more I think about it I am thinking we may get hawthorne and warren..

I've thought all along throughout the entire process that Hawthorne had us at the top of his list and was just playing around. I think we stand a great chance to get him. He grew up in Tennessee and was a Tennessee fan. At the very beginning he said that it had been his dream to play for Tennessee.......but that isn't always a guarantee.

With Warren, I'm not so sure. I know his cousin is saying that he's pretty sure Warren will stick with FSU after his visit, but is also saying that anything can happen. This is the same cousin that accompanied him on his official visit to FSU. I'm more inclined to think FSU with him, but you never know what is going through his head or will be going through his head on his visit.

Good.....I'll take a midget that can catch and run over a 6ft. overrated receiver that can't catch....size don't matter hands and concentration do....

I agree that lineman who carry their weight well, ala 290-300, are the better choices for lineman. I would always take an ahtletic lineman with good balance and feet over a "Goliath".

*In the XBOX world.*
My reasoning for liking huge lineman is from NCAA on XBOX. My offensive lineman and defensive lineman are generally huge. I can't help myself recruiting a 6-8 330lbs DT. :biggrin2:

Looking for reliable information here, not what your trick knee is telling you. Obviously, I'm still interested in Brandon Warren as well.

Kelvin Sheppard- sticks with LSU because of teammate and LSU commit Perry Riley, but really likes UT so.......
Dekoda Watson- Virginia Tech.......could also be Florida State, I think we're in this race but I think he may like some others better
Greg Davis- West Virginia......this is a tough one to call because I've heard nothing on him since his UT visit, he may be a back-up plan right now incase we don't land Heath

These are more from some info I've got that I feel pretty confident in.

Aleric Mullins- Tennessee
Victor Thomas- Tennessee
Stephaun Raines- Tennessee
Deantwan Whitehead- Auburn

I don't know anything much about what Brandon Warren will do. I know he wants to go to FSU, as it stands now, but his mom and most of his family want him at UT. He took his mom and others on the visit to FSU and according to his cousin, his family is now leaving it completely up to Brandon.....which is the way it should be. I think his mom will still express a desire for him to stay at home, and it's important to him that his mom can see him play. I think he needs to have a great visit this weekend. Hopefully he will feel that the best thing for him is to stay at home close to friends and family. I just hope, in the end, that he decides that he WANTS to be a Vol....and not just that it's more convenient.

Don't count on these, because I'm sure I'm going to miss on a few at least. I think you can rely on the last three though, if none of them end up at UT.....I'll be shocked.

Well, I made some guesses on the first list a will likely be wrong. Now I'm hearing Sheppard and Riley a looking more like UT. That being said, since we're recruiting Riley as a safety, I don't know that they'll get Heath. I think Heath may be headed to WVU. Jeremiha Hunter may also actually surprise some people Saturday and pick Iowa. I still think it's between us and Iowa. Everything he's actually done and said after his official to UT and his visit to Iowa would point to us IMO, but there doesn't seem to be much confidence among insiders. He's announcing Saturday night.

I'll still stick with Johnson and Hawthorne. Mullins is a fore-gone conclusion unless UNC pulls off a miracle this weekend. I think the commit of LT Walker to Louisville just backs up what I was hearing, that we were too full on the d-line to take him. Also, apparently from people close to the situation, Brandon Warren is still 50/50 between us and FSU. He was on a high from his visit to FSU, but his mom still would rather him be at UT. This weekend is key with him. We'll find out on Monday. Goggans also has committed to the coaches of whichever team he finally chose, but won't make it public until signing day. I think that speaks well for UT, but I could be wrong.

Hunter on Sat. between 7 and 8 at night on ESPNU and Ramone Johnson on Sunday night. Brandon Warren on monday night along with Hawthorne earlier in the day and possibly Mullins also.

My gut instinct is that Warren will pick UT. I don't see how he can go on Hounddogs Monday and pick the Criminoles.

I would hope that Brandon wouldn't, but I don't think the fact that he's announcing on that show guarantees that he'll announce for UT. Mark Packer, one of the hosts, asked him to announce on the show and he said ok. Packer knows a lot of kids around that area so there's a level of comfort with announcing on that show for Brandon no matter if he picks UT or FSU. It's just that us UT fans won't like it much.

Also, Sheppard and Riley are set to announce on Monday now also. Monday will either be very good, or very bad for us IMO. I don't know that it'll feel ok if we miss on a couple of guys that are announcing that day.
