If that ruins his confidence, how would it change just because he's a sophomore? I'm not saying bench Joe, just pointing out it's mistakes he should've learned to avoid years ago.
I wasn't @ing you. Just pointing out to the Nico advocates that if we just throw him out there as a freshman we will likely see similar results and could possibly create bad habits for the future.

The officials were bad but…..

The two 4th and 1 calls were terrible. Qb is 6’5 250 and you don’t sneak it if you’re going to go.

Got away with 1 but when you were up 20-17 and it was on our 49 you have to punt them deep. They had all the momentum and you ABSOLUTELY could not give them the ball 15 yards from scoring territory and on our side of the field.

I love Heupel and his aggressive calls. That cost us today

I think he double clutched the snap so it was illegal.

On the kickoff, Dee didn’t signal for a fair catch he held his hands out to the side which signaled letting the ball go as in we are not returning it but then Seldon caught it and returned it. It’s the correct call. Just terrible.

Also the defense delay of game for disconcerting signals was lame for a slight clap.
That’s what I thought at first too. But the replay showed he just straight up snapped the ball

Since when it’s doing that a dead ball? Especially from someone that didn’t catch it? The ball didn’t even go in the end zone so what are they supposed to do?

Yea that’s another bad one I forgot. It’s only supposed to be a flag if it’s a dlinemen

Have to learn and install the tush push that hurts and the eagles are so good at.

4th and 1 from shotgun kill me.

Stop it. It sucks, I know. I dig a 10 win year. I'm still happy we beat USCjr and AM. After the florida game I thought we would fold. They're still competing. We're not winning games at the swamp, Tuscaloosa, or vs UGA with Joe at QB. I hope I'm wrong about UGA, but that's the way it looks. Defense is better than last year, we knew the offense would take a hit losing the OC and some great players. Recruiting is good, if we hit the portal hard, who knows...
Also, we could be Arkansas, so there is that.

I am not buying that Heuple is calling plays. Is there a video saying this or something or is this just a guess? If he is calling the plays then he is sucking at his job. This is just not 1 game.
He may not call all the plays....but I bet he called BOTH the 4th down plays we came up short on...

If he just snapped it early then it should have been a live ball.

Personally, I predicted 9-3 with losses to Georgia, Bama and one of Mizzou, A&M, or UF. I'd stomach 8-4. 7-5 would be disappointing but not earth-shattering.

Yep - season is playing out how I thought so far. I wasn’t worked up today - really wanted the win and hate Bama, but a win would have been gravy. Kentucky and Mizzou are both must wins in my book. I will be disappointed with a loss in either game.

I still think this team has magic in it. I’m hoping that’s Georgia.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a call where the guy not catching the kick stops play. I’d like to see where the rule book says that.

I was a nega for years and years, but you’ve lost your damn mind if you want Heupel out.
Nope, he just keeps proving to me what I thought when he was hired and I find it depressing. He's a really good bridge coach he needs 5-6 years to get the AA mess behind us and then it's time to find your championship coach.

I guess if you make that signal it has to go over your head and you can’t catch it.

Hes our bridge to get the AA mess behind us nothing more. It was my thoughts when he was hired and I still think that now.

I will say this!…for the guys in here extremely frustrated and mad at the outcome I’m with you!…play calling this year has dropped off and has costed us games we had every opportunity to win. just step away from the keyboard take in some air and think about where we have been for the last 14 years and the turn around Josh has made in 3 year.we were a 3-7 team when he was hired.

we’ve won games the media never gave us a fair chance in and lost games we had every opportunity to win..that’s just how it goes sometimes but this turn around came with growing pains and we knew that..Josh is our head coach and he’s showed us that he’s the coach to get us where we need to be with results all in doing this without the butch Jones and Derek Dooley post game blunder comments.that alone is worth everything.go vols and F them wildcats 🟠⚪

Lmaoooooooo dont get your hopes up, Heupel has proven, hes gonna be a solid 7-10 win coach, but hes not a championship winner.
What?! This is year 3. We lost two last year in year 2. If anything he's proven he can be competitive with a talent differential. His first year told me that.

I swear to God that there are so many of you on here that just aren't built for CFB. How you muddle through life is beyond me. It was an embarrassing second half, no doubt. But, to place the blame on one player, is short-sighted and patently stupid.
I’m ready to fight any of them at Waffle House that live in the 615

So, let’s back up. They review the 3rd down on the first 4th down stop. Do you believe they do that to Alabama? Was there proof to overturn it? Then, they don’t review 4th down.

Then, they give Bama close first downs. What’s the common denominator? If they get it, there’s no review. If we are close either way, there’s a review.
