Until we can beat GA, we will have no credibility playing them. However, we showed that we can beat Bama last year. Baby steps.
We'll beat them when Skanks says we can beat them. Until then they'll continually do everything in their power to keep the Vols from winning. Both Alabama and GA are hard enough to beat straight up, almost impossible when the officials are helping them too.

All true but it misses the big picture for both the SEC and Vegas. The SEC cares only about tv ratings and revenue. Vegas cares about betting volume. It is true that Tennessee a large and loyal fan base. We have been a national draw., but right now we are not. The last thing the SEC wants is a championship game between Tennessee and Ole Miss, they want Bama and Georgia.
As for Vegas, they are always going to make money by equalizing money on both sides and getting the juice. But there are games like UT Bama that are huge money games and they want to exploit it and make a killing. Notice the line Bama -8.5 high and O/U low, stayed there despite heavy volume on Tennessee and the over. Bama had to win a 2 score game or Vegas would have taken a bath. One less Bama touchdown, Tennessee covers and the game is under and they don't get the sucker bet money and pay out a ton. But SEC happy and Vegas happy. Follow the money.
I disagree:

I don't know why you watch football at all if you really believe that.

So Sankey told Saban last year “hey man sorry but Tennessee is gonna beat you and keep you out of the playoffs. They are gonna put more points than anyone has ever put on you at Bama. We are gonna let Jalin Hyatt win the Bilitnekoff award against you. And we are gonna penalize you 17 times for like 130 yards. “. That’s what happened right?

most everybody believes that because its true
if someone asked me to prove that there was no galvanized effort to undermine unpopular teams like Tennessee. I would say that there would be more evidence to support there is, than there isnt. Evidence is circumstantial, but is substantial.

So, now we learn that the "fair catch" signal was made by Telander, in the front line of the kickoff return team. By pointing up? Isn't the spirit of the rule supposed to be to discourage the use of trickery to deceive the coverage team into slowing down because they think you are not going to return it? It what freaking world would that motion by Telander be interpreted in any shape, form or fashion to be an attempt to deceive the coverage team? I will tell you in what world. In a world where Bama Jeremy imposes his will on the outcome of a game. I have thought for years it was just incompetence. I am done with that idiocy.
