I'm not talking about final rankings though.I don't think you know what your point is with how many times you've changed the discussion point because you're unable to counter the response.
Under Barnes
Year 1 & 2 Unranked and finished unranked
Year 3 Unranked and finished 13th
Year 4 Preseason ranked 6, finished 6th
Year 5 Unranked, finished Unranked
Year 6 Preseason ranked 12, finished Unranked
Year 7 Preseason ranked 18, finished 5
Year 8 Preseason ranked 11, finished 20
So they only finished worse in 2 of his 8 seasons so even by this idiotic point you're making he's been more successful than Pearl who finished 3 seasons worse than his preseason rankings.
Exactly...been eating low starch veggies and just a few ounces of meat every day...you can eat a lot of mass without many calories or carbs...in essence you ain't starving, just forcing your body to burn fat for fuel.I have done that. "Carbs" taken in the usual sense of starchy carbs. When people say "but you need carbs," I always remind them that no- or low-starch vegetables are still carbs. Just smarter ones.
I think Cade Phillips RS this season to get stronger.....I must be bored or something... I forgot how pointless it is.
My only concern for this year's basketball team is the bigs. Awaka is a bit short and doesn't play as explosive as Grant did, Aidoo has the height and length but still hasn't shown great strength inside when facing heavier players and then Cade/JP are both unknowns and first year guys.
I think we've improved overall and can matchup better against some of the teams we struggled with last season. FAU, A&M, Missouri, & Kentucky because their guard play/depth was the bigger reason they beat us. We can play 8 different guys now with good variety in size, speed, and skills and then when ZZ gets healthy that'll be 9.
Gainey, Freddie, Mashack, Santi, JJJ, DK, DJ, Carr then add back ZZ
So you're satisfied with winning only two games in the NCAA tournament against teams that you're expected to beat like a drum, and then losing to the first program that you play that actually has a pulse. That's what getting to the Sweet 16 means. Way to set your sights high!Getting to a Final Four would cement him among the best imo. I don't expect it though. I would live for him to take this team to an Elite 8 at least but March is March.
I'm just happy to have him and happy to be relevant. Consistently making Sweet 16s is fine with me for this program, and we shouldn't have any reason to expect more based on our history.
They have a new name..The Idiot Margin....it fits this crew better.Just Legion of the Miserable taking out their frustration and discontentment with their own lives out on everyone else. But bitching and moaning about the most successful and consistent basketball coach we've ever had is a weird choice. But the Legion of the Miserable isn't rational.
Congrats. It's definitely a healthy lifestyle if you can keep it up. And with all the breakthroughs in keto foods, it's much easier to do. Heck, wife and I found keto bread the other day. One net carb per slice. That's crazy. CarbQuick allows you to have biscuits and baked goods. (Do NOT try that if you are gluten sensitive. For texture, they replace the carbs with wheat gluten. lol)Exactly...been eating low starch veggies and just a few ounces of meat every day...you can eat a lot of mass without many calories or carbs...in essence you ain't starving, just forcing your body to burn fat for fuel.
I got pissed off at myself because my goal is to get down to at least 220 from my initial 312 2 years ago (after mom died I struggled woth depression and ate myself from 250ish to 312 over a few months in 2020) and I had lost 54 pounds slowly over the last 2 1/2 years...anyway I got proud of myself and thought I would take a couple months off of my regular high protein low carb schedule and found 5 (6 counting this week) weeks ago that I had gained 32 pounds back...so I have really been hammering down and lost all of it back off the last few weeks.
I ain't ever letting that happen again.

I’m sorry about your mom. Respect to your dedication.Exactly...been eating low starch veggies and just a few ounces of meat every day...you can eat a lot of mass without many calories or carbs...in essence you ain't starving, just forcing your body to burn fat for fuel.

Exactly...and all I know is it works. I can adjust it to fit what I want to do...I usually took a weekend off every 2-3 weeks and would eat whatever I wanted and then go back to it, or eat a lot more meat...I could count on losing 1-2 lbs a week like that...but if I go all out, take zero breaks and cut protein intake down, I will lose about 5-7 lbs a week.I ssuspect you're talking low-GI diet, which isn't low carb. It's slow-carb. I think he's talking more keto, which is almost complete lack of carbss (like ~25/day net carbs).
And no, most people don't really need more carbs than that. The body converts fats to ketones, which are burned as fuel in place of carbs. Most people would benefit greatly from this--from brain clarity to lower bodily inflamation.
Mom stayed on me all the time about it, so she was the biggest reason I had gotten down to that weight to start with.I’m sorry about your mom. Respect to your dedication.
When I get back from vacation I'm going back to the eat all the meat I want schedule...I lose weight slower, but I don't crave glucose near as much.Congrats. But it's great. Who hates a diet where you can eat all the bacon you want?!
While I generally agree, I don't think the above takes into account what kind of weight you retain. It doesn't take into account the hormonal responses within the body that tell the body to either store fat, burn fat, build muscle or break down muscle. So, a carb-focused diet (a I have read relayed from meta-studies) that counts calories can lead to a very different kind of body at one weight than one would have with other types of dietary intake. From all my research into nutrition I think I agree most with these rules.
Eat 25mg or more of fiber each day from FOOD sources
Eat 0.7 grams or more of protein x goal weight (so if the goal is 200lbs x .7 = 140 grams of protein or more each day)
Eat calories based on goal weight...a starting number is 12 x goal weight (so 200 x 12 = 2400 calories a day)
You do those 3 things and avoid process foods for the rest of the calories, whether it's coming from carbs or fats and just find which you prefer/works best. Some folks that's low carb and high fat and some folks do better/like more carbs and less fat but as long as the majority is coming from whole foods you'll be good.
I love potato chips and it's probably the worst way and most processed ways to get carbs LOL...but when I do the stuff above it melts off and I feel better.
Very clear to me that they were spot on with putting :06 on the clock and then adjusting it to :07. Criminal.I just posted a still frame the other day, but here’s the GIF of Squirrel being tackled and sliding a full two yards on the ground all while the clock is still at :10.
