I trust you on that. I haven't done a deep dive into the Accipiters. Especially bc I have a friend who did her Master's degree on them so I usually just send her hawk questions. It's easier than an ADHD fueled, hyperfixation marathon lolol
There's a lot of different tells between a Cooper's and a Sharp Shinned but they're only easy to see when they're close. Far away it's much easier to get them confused. Same with Broad shouldered, Red shouldered, and Red tailed hawks

The most frustrating part is the defense has had 2 road games where they just weren't doing anything. 1st half against Florida, 2nd half against Alabama

I'm not real sure what the deal is, but even against Kentucky they couldn't stop the pass. I'm hoping the UConn performance gave them confidence because I feel like a lot of it is the mindset and not a lack of talent.
I do think it’s like @OGbabyaviVol said, we are just not as aggressive on the road. All of our more dominant games (UK last year, USCjr this year) have been at home. I don’t think that’s uncommon though, I think most teams get more aggressive at home and you can see by the data that outside of two teams that just have **** defense overall, everyone performed worse on the road.

If we can just get up into the 20-30% range rather than 64%, that would be great. I haven’t done the offensive side of this yet but I’d be willing to bet our offense doesn’t drop off as much and can make up 20-30%. Harder to make up 64%.

I’d also like to break this down further and see what the year to year looks like, and I’d also like to see what SEC only looks like. Cream puffs at home can skew the data a bit because those are almost always at home and dominant wins.

Of course there have been lots of examples of missed calls, especially in our games, but this play is not one of them. Your own description of being “spun 180*” negates a horse collar. Also if you’re comparing the one called against LSU, the LSU defender uses his weight to fall behind the runner to bring him down. When Daniels had the ball, the defender stays on his feet and everyone continues to move downfield.

Now please stop making me admit when a Bammer actually didn’t commit a penalty.
When the opportunity finally presented, he abruptly pulled him directly down backwards to his back by the nameplate area of the jersey. This is based on the NCAA rule since 2017.

There is nothing in the rule that states that if a runner manages to resist a horse collar tackle attempt at first, the ultimate abrupt textbook pull-down from behind is negated. Whatever rule or custom you personally act on is not the issue.

You must not have gone through the play slowly, as I suggested. Or the gif used to illustrate the new rule where the player is slung not pulled, forwards not backwards, and lands on his side not his back. Agree to disagree, my friend.

It pales in comparison to the way we were jobbed by the officials in the Bama game. That was the most crooked game I have ever seen. That's where the focus should be. Agree to agree on that.

The mindset is like that because the coach puts them in that mode from calling everything so conservative. Call aggressive and your team plays aggressive!

Updated, but in using the wrong table in 1st post, have one update. We are 64% worse on the road on defense, not the original value I posted. It's edited now.

So, strictly going by this, defensively the game should be around 29-24 favoring Missouri. Can our offense make up the difference? I think this game will be decided on turnovers and big special teams play.

No argument from me on our game. I can only hope that crew got raked across the coals for that one. I wish college football had public rankings that college basketball and other sports do. Some public accountability is needed. The only way we can see behind the scenes on how some crews are managed is to track their assignments as the year goes on and which crews work certain bowl games.
