Calling BS on this. I’ve seen WRs drop wide Fing open balls all year. Joe miss schemed open 3rd down conversions all year. Runs that hooker would’ve made in his sleep for big gains he somehow searches and find someone to tackle him. It’s a BIG issue. This offense can’t take mediocre WR, inaccurate qb play and no threat to run from the qb. Just can’t.We desperately miss Golesh, from a gameplanning/playcalling stand point. I knew he would be missed but I underestimate his impact.
Joe does limit the offense and hardly makes a bad play call a positive gain but (I've said this all year) we don't/can't scheme guys open like the previous 2 years. Also the play calling has been predictable. How many times do we run the ball on 2nd and long? 90% of the time.
We run the same plays all game. How times did we run that double slant route?
How many deep balls did we throw? 2 all game? We don't push the ball down the field anymore. Maybe that's Joe, WRs or both. He'll idk.
That's the part that has been so frustrating bc we seen for 2 years our coaches out scheme/out smart opposing coaches game in and game out. That was our Big Joker going into every game. Hasn't been the case this year.
To your last point, if anyone wants to know how truly awful Milton has been on the year, listen to any “bet the board” podcast that features a Tennessee game From the last few weeks. They go into an analytical deep dive about how much he really sucks. It will be eye opening to a lot. Some more thoughts:
-leave Banks, Hazle, Martinez, BJM, Elarbee and Pope in Missouri
-terrible effort from the defense
-Slaughter Is not the answer at CB, he blew the coverage on the 2 40+ passing plays Missouri had that didn’t involve Shrader.
-terrible effort from Herring, and the LB’s as a group
-milton was not good today. He nailed the deep shot to Thorton, but a lot of his throws were off target, especially as the game went on. Pick 6 was inexcusable
Blows my mind that the commentators don't say a single word about it. They don't even question it or explain why they are able to review it after the snap. And why is Heupel not losing his crap over it??!!! I would be going ape crap yet he just takes it. I think there is something major going on behind the scenes. Not sure what exactly it is, but I’ve never seen this blatant of bias every single game for the whole year.
I mean, I think he gives our offense a better shot just by keeping the defense more honest.
I actually think we’re on the same page but disagreeing on the principle. Today is not one of those days. We got our ass just whooped. refs couldn’t have helped that. Other games, I can hop on the bandwagonDuh but we had little chance even if we had played significantly better. What I’ve been trying to convey. It’s frustrating to see what is biased every single week.
