-Get to at least 8-4
-Win the bowl game
-Keep stacking recruiting class
-Hit the portal hard
-Nico will get the mojo back on the offense in 2024

Mizzou whipped us today no doubt, Heupel still will have the two best seasons in the last 16 years in only 3 years here. Banks has to figure something out, we still need a talent upgrade at most spots on defense but we are so hot and cold on D. Still clawing our way out of the gutter that has been the last 20 years. Heupel can get us there.

Come on now people, all this CJH is becoming the problem is unbelievable. Anybody that has watched this team play knows that's not true. Did we play a terrible game, absolutely, do we expect more, that's a given but get real. We are short a few players due to injury, we still don't have what is needed on both sides of the ball to be elite yet and whether you want to believe it or not we are still one or two years away from just an experience standpoint with the talent coming up. Do we need to make changes in the staff, I don't know, I'm not there at practice everyday so I nor anybody else on here could say if it is scheme or the inability of the talent and or experience we have to carry the scheme out under the pressure of a game. Everybody be pissed we lost, take a deep breath and think about where we're at and where we were just a few years back program wise. Big things are coming, believe it, GO VOLS !!!!

Agreed. I'm pissed. But another coaching change woould be stupid considering what he's already done and where we appear to be going... The right direction for anyone not paying attention. Lol.

I want to be mad and complain, because Heup and Co deserve at after tonight, but the level of lunacy just makes it difficult not to end up defending the guy.

There are people on the post-games talking about Danny White needing to start making his prospective coach list. What do you even do with that?

He is absolutely horrid on the road. Nothing wrong with stating the obvious facts.
6-7 on the road since he's been on campus.
Five of the seven losses have come in Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, and Athens. NO ONE, in the entire country, has to play in places like that, against teams like that...not even close. And we have to do it on a bi-yearly basis. Perspective.

When's the last time Bama has played in Athens or The Swamp? When's the last time UGA's had to play in The Swamp, or UF in Athens? Those two get away with that Jacksonville bullsh!t every year. Again, we have done it every two years for the last 30.

I do agree with you though, he HAS TO get better on the road, if we want to take that next step. Tonight was nothing but embarrassing. Trying to keep it in perspective though. 6-7...3 of the 7 to the two best programs in college football...2 more in The Swamp. Also, 1 loss in SC, which is no picnic.

I'm ready for the new blood. I don't want Nico thrown to the wolves next week...but, I'm ready for him to take over. Joe has played as well as he possibly can, he just doesn't have...IT. Also, I'd rather see the trumpet player in the band play, before I see another play from Tank McCollough. Expected a good season from Herring, thought he would step in and do well after Pili went down, I was wrong. He's had a bad season, and has looked completely outclassed on MANY occasions. I blame the LBs for tonight more than anywhere else.

Fk the officials, to close out. It's totally overwhelming at this point. I wish I could say we were sh!t, and that be just it; but, my God. Those two 15 yd personal fouls!!! How many live-ball flags tonight on Missouri?

He’s not a coach of the Vols, as that’s the same comment he made to me. Or are you too ignorant to read and comprehend?

You still haven’t addressed why you’re still here when you said you were done with the program 2 years ago. Please advise 🤞🏼🤞🏼
It wasn’t two years ago. It was with Pruitt and then we hired Heupel. If you don’t like it, put me on ignore. Had you on it a couple of years ago and seems good to do so again.

Anyone talking about a potential coaching change is ridiculous. I can understand if we need to revamp the staff, but Hype was always getting those initial six years when he was hired and he's only extended that as far as I'm concerned.

A lot of posters on here tonight faulting both the coaching and the lack of talent/depth. Make up my mind, because it can't be both in this instance. It's either poor coaching or lack of depth.

And when I see Bru, Pili, Hadden and Harrison out of the game, an Oline that still has to start Ollie Lane (Bless his heart) and a QB that stares down his receivers, and continues to throw 100 mph slant passes at the goal line, I'm leaning towards this being a talent/depth issue moreso than a coaching one.

GBO!

This somewhat alludes to my earlier post about Heupel possibly being a Richt-like coach for us. I hope it’s not true and he’s our Smart, but that’s yet to be seen.

Interesting thread of thought. For my part, I don’t think Richt v. Smart is the right comparison because I think Tennessee is just a different program than Georgia at this point in history.

I’ve long ago concluded Tennessee will never have runs like UGA and Alabama - there just isn’t the ability to stockpile elite talent year in and year out.

But I still think it can recruit well enough to periodically catch lightening in a bottle with a great QB and win a title.

My question is can our coach create and seize that moment. We saw a glimpse of it last year. It makes me think Heupel can.
