CFB is high-stakes, and aTm wants to be a player. A school that invests the resources to field an elite team expects an elite team. The top programs and those that want to be are all-in.
One more question… I agree 100% with your statement there. Is Tennessee all in like that or are they more bargain bin 8-4 expectations going forward into 2024. It’ll be a model to judge from that a few fans here think 8-4 is great.

Sure… went 9-1 with an orange bowl win.
9-1 with an all sec schedule is better than 11-2 with 8 sec games
Road games at Mississippi State, at South Carolina, at Auburn, at UT. Lost at Bama. The other four teams were a combined 15-24. Played 0-9 Vandy at home. Hahaha. Beat UNC in the Orange Bowl. Stellar.

We’re 7-3 going into a big game against UGA with our home win streak on the line. Feels like we’re growing while having a couple set backs here and there. Interested to see how next week goes
beating Mizzou doesnt move the needle for me. Losing to them does. Its why I despise that game.

UGA is an SEC team.

It's less people think 8-4 is "great", and more people don't think 8-4 is the end of the world, OMG, we need to put Heupel on the hot seat.

And let's not give him too much credit for winning on the road when those stadiums were at a quarter of their capacity

@LA Vol

I sense Heupel is frustrated with being screwed over and over by the SEC and their officials. I also sense his silent protest hasn't gone over too well with some UT administration. Is this true? If so does Heupel feel like they don't have his back? The screw job is so bad it's becoming so blatantly obvious at this point its comical.

Nah, people read my name and always assume im trolling. 99.9% of my posts are genuine.
I don't think you're a troll. I just don't believe that you're right that much. You are also very quick to criticize and very slow to praise. I have seen some positive posts from you for the basketball team recently, but we'll see what happens in March.

So we could have as good an OL as Arkansas? Why not just cut another million dollar check for Kevin Steele to not coach a day here?
Pittman can recruit. If we had elarbee and Pittman working on OL, hard to imagine we can’t get premier talent on the OL, which we desperately need to be not one dimensional on offense.

At least someone noticed, Like ive always said. Give me a reason to be positive and I will.

UT did not expect to go 8-4 with embarrassing, non-competitive losses to UF and Mizzou this year. But CJH is not on the hot seat and any talk of him being fired is ungrounded and unproductive. Expecting him to do what it takes to fix things is the path. That sounds easier than it will be, but UT has invested in CJH and there's no reason to doubt that or what he has brought to the program.
Go get him a good DC and many issues get fixed. Can we make that happen?

UT is investing in personnel, facilities, player amenities and fan experience at a high level. We have a strong admin, a committed AD and a sports-friendly president. That has not always been the case, but when it has been, UT has excelled. Randy Boyd is not a career administrator. He wants to make UT an elite everything school before he moves on. Football is the engine. Ticket prices are up. Fan support is strong. You do not invest at this level to be content where we are. This year did not go as expected. Things happened. Miscalculations were made. Finish strong and get back on track. The resources are there... and so is the support.
