That last comment, I don't think it's very nice considering @InVOLuntary has to wear adult diapers to battle his incontinence. We, like almost all fan-bases, have so many fair weather fans. They seem to forget the entire history of our program, especially since 2005, and act like petulant children when we don't meet THEIR expectations. They forget 11-2 and finishing in the Top 10. The thing is, the weather this year is still pretty fair. If we finish 9-4, that's tied for the second best season since 3rd best season since 2005 and sixth best season if we finish 8-5. One game does not make a trend. As someone mentioned, we are 6-7 on the road since CJH came here. And, that's with going to Bama and Florida twice and Georgia once. Yesterday sucked. 25 out of 35 of our previous yesterdays did not suck. Sack up, ya big babies.
if the season is set up from the get go. what do you do? i mean, how is 10 straight quarters without an opponent getting a moving penalty explainable??I'm sure everybody's frustrated. CJH clearly is and his silent protest is not unsupported-- it's a way to make a point without getting fined, which everybody knows would happen. I think the team's performance makes it difficult for UT to take it beyond the weekly reports and calls. When the team plays so poorly and looks that discombobulated and unmotivated in all facets, it's hard to point a finger at officiating, even if it is contributory.
UT knows it has to win on the field. For whatever reason-- and there are way too many of them-- UT sometimes looks like a bad football team. We have to fix our own problems, since that's what the team can control.
Well I don’t think that’s true that he couldn’t do it anywhere but uga, in fact historically that would be incorrect. He did it here already I believe. He can recruit 5 stars at UGA…nowhere else. If he’s looking for a stopgap job before a top program inevitably tabs him as their OL coach, I’m not throwing my internet body in front of the move, but buying him a summer home won’t do anything to get big uglies on board who were otherwise reluctant. And what do you mean “one dimensional “? From the beginning, we were run oriented. A more instinctive QB unlocks that hyped explosive passing offense that’s inherent in Heupel’s scheme. If we merely retain who Ellarbee’s got committed, our OL is immensely upgraded. Land Seaton and moreso.
Yeah didn't mean to imply yesterday was a significant contributor to the outcome. I do think the obvious efforts by the league to continually punish the Vols has a cumulative effect. Eventually the players think "why even try?"I'm sure everybody's frustrated. The explanation doesn't help-- we have to find a way to win winnable games in spite of it. Sometimes, the other team is just better. Sometimes, we hand them the win. Yesterday, UT handed Mizzou the win. They played harder, they played smarter, they schemed better, they fought the entire game, they were determined to win and they did. UT was flat from the first series, and it permeated throughout the team. Figure out why and fix it.if the season is set up from the get go. what do you do? i mean, how is 10 straight quarters without an opponent getting a moving penalty explainable??
Well the powers that be are certainly making the product hard to watch. Here’s my hot take for the night…..who gives a **** about football anymore! It’s a dying and barbaric sport that won’t be around soon because of CTE! We’re just ahead of the curve at not caring and focusing our efforts in the sports that actually matter.
Barnes and Vitello are going to win us a lot of games this year in the sports that matter. Time to have some fun.
Why did SEC bring in Missouri from the get go? NO ONE likes going there. Its a dump of a program. What does it add to the SEC? And if you say money - Ill shake my head bc its a rhetorical question. The explanation doesn't help-- we have to find a way to win winnable games in spite of it. I know. I didn't mean to give that impression. I'm sure the players are frustrated and beaten up, but I think the issues are broader than that. Having UGA on deck doesn't help. But the team plays better with fan support in Neyland.Yeah didn't mean to imply yesterday was a significant contributor to the outcome.
