Perfect! Thanks for your insight.UT is investing in personnel, facilities, player amenities and fan experience at a high level. We have a strong admin, a committed AD and a sports-friendly president. That has not always been the case, but when it has been, UT has excelled. Randy Boyd is not a career administrator. He wants to make UT an elite everything school before he moves on. Football is the engine. Ticket prices are up. Fan support is strong. You do not invest at this level to be content where we are. This year did not go as expected. Things happened. Miscalculations were made. Finish strong and get back on track. The resources are there... and so is the support.
I don’t think anyone has said that. And no one wants that. That’s stiring the pot. It's less people think 8-4 is "great", and more people don't think 8-4 is the end of the world, OMG, we need to put Heupel on the hot seat.
Randy Boyd has a financial incentive to make TN good at everything. Im not saying thats a bad thing, just good motivation.UT is investing in personnel, facilities, player amenities and fan experience at a high level. Random idea that doesn’t fix the problem:How does this keep happening over and over and over. Craziness.
i'm not a conspiracist. but if there is indeed, because of our season last year. because of up tempo football...and it can be proven.@LA Vol
I sense Heupel is frustrated with being screwed over and over by the SEC and their officials. I also sense his silent protest hasn't gone over too well with some UT administration. Is this true? If so does Heupel feel like they don't have his back? The screw job is so bad it's becoming so blatantly obvious at this point its comical.
I'm sure everybody's frustrated. CJH clearly is and his silent protest is not unsupported-- it's a way to make a point without getting fined, which everybody knows would happen. I think the team's performance makes it difficult for UT to take it beyond the weekly reports and calls. When the team plays so poorly and looks that discombobulated and unmotivated in all facets, it's hard to point a finger at officiating, even if it is contributory.@LA Vol

Let's not forget Milton has been JH's "guy" since arriving on campus. Had it not been for the injury vs WV there wouldn't have been a great 22 season. JH would be in different boat right now had it not been for Joe's injury and Hendo playing too good to pull. Interesting to think about, one injury changed everything, football is a crazy sport.Nico's RS status is of no consequence.
This staff's philosophy is to play older, experienced players and develop talent behind them. They're playing the guys they want to play. CJH decided pre-season that Joe was their guy and he has reiterated this all year. Injuries have impacted their plan somewhat, but they convinced some of these older guys to come back and they're playing them.
He can recruit 5 stars at UGA…nowhere else. If he’s looking for a stopgap job before a top program inevitably tabs him as their OL coach, I’m not throwing my internet body in front of the move, but buying him a summer home won’t do anything to get big uglies on board who were otherwise reluctant. And what do you mean “one dimensional “? From the beginning, we were run oriented. A more instinctive QB unlocks that hyped explosive passing offense that’s inherent in Heupel’s scheme. If we merely retain who Ellarbee’s got committed, our OL is immensely upgraded. Land Seaton and moreso.Pittman can recruit. If we had elarbee and Pittman working on OL, hard to imagine we can’t get premier talent on the OL, which we desperately need to be not one dimensional on offense.
If this officiating carries into next season, I say we torch the SEC offices in Birmingham.I'm sure everybody's frustrated. UT knows it has to win on the field. For whatever reason-- and there are way too many of them-- UT sometimes looks like a bad football team. We have to fix our own problems, since that's what the team can control.
