Playing APSU , Milton probably plays 1st half and calls it a day...Nico and Moore play 3rd and 4th quarter..... I would like to see Thornton getting more involved in game this weekend....
UVA really just thought that with the oline departures they could control the los with a senior led dline. Drop into a zone to prevent long completions.little did they know we had the running game that we have. I think Heup kept it a little simple at that , not much of a need to show the total package yet

We've only been ranked 9th or higher 3 seasons since Fulmer left. It took CBJ 4 years and he never climbed above 9th.

Heupel has done it twice in 3 years and is going to have the 2nd highest ranked team since Fulmer by next Sunday.

Incredible. Like baseball and basketball, hope everyone is appreciating this. I know we're all expecting this return to the norm like it should be, but I take ZERO for granted nowadays. Truly the greatest time ever to be a Vol sports fan, barring the late 90s flurries of men's and women's titles. Maybe we surpass that too under General Heupel and Lieutenant Dan.

#9 in football, #6 preseasons MBB, should have a top 15 WBB, and ofc we'll be top-10 in baseball again. Wild.

The only good thing cornbread ever said during his tenure.

“It’s gonna be the decade of the Vols”

Welcome to TG’s Football Rules Clinic 101!

Play #1 NFHS (High School) Rules:

K 4th & 8 at K’s 45 yard line.

K17 punts the ball to R22. As R22 attempts to field the punt at R’s 12 yard line he muffs it. During the scrum the ball rolls into the endzone where it is recovered by K42.

Ruling?

I would love to hear Garrett Riley speak today and go off
That would be top-shelf entertainment. But G Riley would not get fired like that! He will defer to Dabo and likely hope that Dabo has learned something, if the reports are true. I would imagine that he will have to let all of his ideas have been Dabo's ideas. But many people know that a egotistical boss can be budged little by little that way ("I see what you are suggesting, that is a great idea, if I understand you. You are saying that.[whatever the direct report believes is the course of action]. This would end up enhancing our [boss's pet idea]. Etc. So long as one is not a bad ego case oneself.

Clemson still has the cushy ACC schedule that has made them a fixture for a while. They won't likely fall off the face of the earth, although that would be delectable.

Just occurred to me. I'm pretty sure we are the only College football team in the country that has three home stadiums!

1. Neyland Stadium, Knoxville TN.
2. Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN
3. First Bank Stadium, Nashville, TN ...currently having renovations done to make it somewhat more accommodating to fans.
You forgot about Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA.

I don't understand why recruits aren't knocking down our doors yet. It seems obvious that we are destined to win the next 27 national championships. At which point we'll almost be caught up with all the titles Bama fans like to claim.

Folks here at work spouting the same line. Milton did fine and if Keyton had caught that one pass then this whole conversation goes away. Milton couldn't have thrown that pass any better.
Really it is just that stretch of three bad passes to wide open recievers on the drive after that which is sticking in people's mind.

If you noticed when he came off the field it looked like Heupel was talking to Joe like "no big deal, you'll get em next drive"...and he did.

I notice little things like that.

That's fine idiot...I wish you idiots would stick us even lower and keep us down fur a few weeks...all that disrespect will do is piss our boys off and keep em pissed off all year...watch what happens. 😒

By the way, to be clear who I'm talking to, not you...the idiot that posted that ranking.😎

I’m thinking they are keeping Thornton under wraps until UF. Game plan will very basic again this week, but will open the offense up including Thornton week 3.

It's okay, Fubo is the best probably for sports right now. YoutubeTV is just the best overall.

Also, Hulu, Disney, and ESPN are all the same company.
I have Hulu, and it is fine for me, but YTTV has some cool features that Hulu doesn't have. If it wasn't for shows on Hulu that my wife and MiL watch I would switch to YTTV.

I can't afford both.

Interesting segment from Josh Pate on Deion. Says he was texting with some CFB media and agents about him and they were all worried about what he just did. Not because they don’t want him to succeed or anything, but that he just even more depleted patience on CFB HCs.

He goes on to name Napier, Sark, and a couple other newer HCs and says that patience is already thin for most CFB fans of these teams because these coaches aren’t hitting the ground running, but watching Deion do what he did with the roster turnover and then the win this weekend means patience will evaporate completely. All fans will be saying “why should we wait? Look what Deion is doing. Do that here.”

Rebuilds were already being accelerated by the transfer portal overall, but Deion just laid a blueprint down on how to take a perennial loser and turn them into a legitimate team in one offseason.
It's one game...against a team with an already bad defense that is 118th in returning production...it's like people don't think. Plus he has two great players, and that always helps.
