I’m thinking they are keeping Thornton under wraps until UF. Game plan will very basic again this week, but will open the offense up including Thornton.
It seems like we really didn't open it up at all vs UVA. . . we only took a few deep shots all game. Don't we usually take a few every quarter? 😂

Also didn't notice any. . . "creative" formations. Everything seemed to come out of our common set, without much variation.

There is no telling what Heupel has drawn up and hidden away for this season. Only thing I hate about that is not having game experience running it, but that hasn't been an issue at all since he's been here. . . I still like that awesome play he called against USCe in year 1. . . Snaps to fant at QB, hands it to running back, tosses it to Hooker, Hooker throws a TD to Hyatt I think, maybe Tillman.

It’s hard to fully wrap my head around this Colorado thing. Depending on how the season plays out, it could be a major transformative event in college football.

I can’t wait to see that Nebraska game.
Rhule is a good coach...but Nebraska is snakebitten. I'll give Deion one thing, he knows how to hire good assistants.

This year, more than most years, people seem to be putting way more stock into week 1 results for some reason.

LSU will be a decent to good team, Clemson is going to win at least 8 games, and as far as Deion... Let's just see how it plays out.

That team is going to get blown out at some point this season. Do the wheels fall off? Do they lose to someone they are favored to beat and end up with 3-4 wins?

Yeah he's going to do great compared to the Colorado standard of the last decade, but that was also a guarantee. Dude brought in way too many resources to fail that badly. Gut feeling tells me there's nothing about the way he's running that program that is built for consistency. Whether that is week to week or year to year.
If Hunter or especially Shedeur gets hurt they will be lucky to win another game.

What was it?
Deleted content tweeted by the Tennessee Football account, dated Oct 15, 2022, with only the title remaining: "Got a little jingle," which is a line from "Dixieland Delight." This was almost certainly video footage of our win over Alabama (whether produced by Tennessee Football or taken from CBS's broadcast, where the song was playing loudly live in the background). A message reads:

"This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

The likely candidates to have performed this censorship are CBS or the band who recorded the song. But we can't rule out without evidence that it wasn't Sabey who ordered his direct report Sankey to get that thing erased from history.

Welcome to TG’s Football Rules Clinic 101!

Play #1 NFHS (High School) Rules:

K 4th & 8 at K’s 45 yard line.

K17 punts the ball to R22. As R22 attempts to field the punt at R’s 12 yard line he muffs it. During the scrum the ball rolls into the endzone where it is recovered by K42.

Ruling?
K touchdown.

I guess in high school a muffed punt cannot be advanced by the kicking team, like how an onside kick cannot be advanced?

That's the only logical way I see that it wouldn't be a touchdown. Because there's no difference in the kicking team picking it up at the spot of the muff and advancing it to the end zone vs picking it up in the end zone.

So, it's either the kicking team's ball at the spot of the muff, kicking team's ball at the 20 yd line (as a touchback), or the receiving team gives up a safety and punts it back to the kicking team. Something whacky that makes little sense.
