That's a good and fair point.

I was hopeful too, but I don't think we have the mega donor support to our collective that other schools have. I think we have a lot of people supporting but even $50 a month hardly puts a dent into a player's $1M+ asking price. Adds up for sure but when you hear of guys like John Ruiz at Miami who (possibly depending on source) has a net worth of 1 billion - 20 billion. He can sneeze and drop 10 million for a few players. We need a few Haslams to pitch in, and they probably already are.

I think we’d all be surprised how many dudes are not making $1M. Unless you mean $1m/ 4 years

Well, Deion has regained the spotlight. Trying to recreate the magic.

I'm sure he's going to be working other recruits HARD to flip. Some of these other schools better hug those recruits tight for the next couple of weeks.

Kinda makes me feel ok about not getting him. If he goes to Bama or OSU... That is another loss on the trail to teams we're trying to beat.

Picking Colorado is about the money. And we didn't lose anything to the programs we're actually competing with.

So it is what it is this day and age.

Oh I know not many are making those figures. Someone like Walter Nolen is up for bidding though and he isn't going anywhere for less than 7 figures. Need some 1st round draft picks on your roster if you want to win big. It's hard to develop but so many under the radar guys and hit on the 3* players you take vs paying big $ for high probability impact players.

I'm gonna post this here instead of the player page, because there are a lot of people from the FF in there and I don't want to deal with them. Also a lot of people taking it very personal and I don't want to argue with people who got their feelings hurt.

Seaton played a lot of people to have his moment, and I'm sure Deion was coaching the PR side of this as well. I'm sure there are a lot of people, not just the "insiders" that run fan sites, but coaching staffs, that feel duped and stupid right now. Sometimes there's nothing you can do, especially in this day and age. Florida State went through the same thing a couple of years ago.

At least he didn't go to a rival.

Can almost guarantee this wasn’t about money. It’s this jive that Deion’s sold the last couple of recruiting classes that landed one top recruit each time. Hunter in 22 and McClain in 23. He’s been preaching “if only” he had OL and one becomes the next hope and gets a prominent spot on the Amazon Prime series.

According to AP Holden Staes is visiting this weekend (ND TE) and next weekend Southeastern Louisiana TE Bauer Sharp is visiting next weekend. Sharp was a high school QB and has solid stats this year including 5 rushing TDs! Along with 288 yards receiving and 3 receiving TD's this year. Kinda sounds like a Fant type who can get those tough short yards. (And can throw)

Jolly not visiting was our call as mentioned
Sounds like Princeton Fant to me. And that's a very good thing.

Kids tell you (indirectly) what the coaching staff's pitch was when they commit. It's obvious what Deion is rolling with, and hey, that's what recruiting is all about -- you play to whatever advantage you have, and you use whatever edge you can.

Truth be told, I think money was a part of it as well, and they put a spin on it to make it feel more valiant or honorable.

Deion did and said what he had to do, their boosters/collective did what they had to do, and he brought Seaton home.

We don't know if it's sustainable, probably not. But for the purposes of this battle, he did what he had to do.

Sucks we were on the losing end of that one. It makes a lot of sense, given the context he gave during his interview. I wish we could have heard him say some of these things before, because I think we ALL would have checked out lol.

Ready to move on to the transfer portal and see what we can build. Campbell coming back makes that Seaton loss hurt WAY less. Let's fill some positions of need and bolster the roster for what could be an exciting season next year.

AP talking about this class in particular, and next steps:
There has been some hard losses in this one. Hardest year I can remember. Now they gotta hold onto Boo and figure out the portal

Then you've never been completely disenfranchised out of the one thing you poured your heart and soul into, only to be told you were tricked and were never playing a fair game all along.

That's when you rage Schiano style 😅🤣
🦬💩...I want to beat the 💩 out of anybody I ever played in any sport...these FSU kids go get obliterated by UGA and EVERYBODY will say the committee was right all along.

I will never understand a quitter mentality.

Maybe not directly. I honestly don't know... But at some point all those things move towards getting paid... At some point.. At the end of the day, most all of it, including 'money', seems very superficial.
