Maybe not directly. I honestly don't know... But at some point all those things move towards getting paid... At some point.. At the end of the day, most all of it, including 'money', seems very superficial.
Deion sells banking off your own baller brand and getting fire cars that get repossessed and jewelry that gets stolen from the locker room. Chinese checkers not chess. 😎

Yeah, seems like some kids can't look past the first big payday. Long term NIL won't make you rich, too many families and friends leech these athletes dry. Taking the fast/easy money is why so many end up broke within a few years of hanging it up.

Free transfer though, when Deion bails he can follow him to the next spot OR go get wine & dined a second time for a new team.

he's going to love getting coached up by a guy that was an offensive line analyst last year......
May become an OL guru…May get demoted back down to analyst before midseason…stream the show.

With what? The bowl?
Hard to tell. Lot of smoke on Twitter and their On3/247 sites. I think their fans are still (justifiably) pissed and raising hell, could just be a lot of people trying to manifest leaving the conference or sitting out of the bowl game.

I'm not going to dig, I'll let that news come to me. This whole Seaton thing wore me out 😆

Louisville.

Cannot recruit to there just like they cannot recruit to UK. It will not matter who they hire soon because the tradition is being lost as each season of mediocrity passes.
i don’t know if that is accurate in women’s basketball… teams start recruiting strong all the time and the money that they are paying him shows that the program has support… He also has one of the biggest girls basketball AAU tourneys held in Louisville every year.

You did yeoman’s work on that. Appreciate it.

I’m not a fan of her but hope we hire away South Carolinas coach. We should be able to hire whoever we want. And a coach of that caliber combined with our program could put pat and geno records on watch.
I wouldn't want her associated with Tennessee. She's not a good person, no integrity.

So a few names that chose the bag over TN in the past...

2022 - Walter Nolen, already in the portal after 2 years
2020 - Jay Hardy, picked Auburn, transferred to Liberty

I'm sure I'm missing others, but those 2 stuck out as recent players just looking for the bag...both in-state kids too.

Nolen is in the portal bc his coach got fired

All these kids are Deion's playing chips for the next job. He doesn't sell Colorado. He sells himself and tells them they will move with him. Sells the father figure to the Mom's and they seem to buy it. He's following the Bowden approach. Just field the most talented team and win ugly.

The biggest question I have is where the money is coming from. It has been mentioned that FS1 (network) is driving the Prime hype machine. I noticed last year that Fox Sports oddly started showing Saudi League games on their networks and Saudi league scores across their tickers. LIV golf is going to destroy the PGA and now Formula 1 is moving Saudi also. Saudis have always been power players in horse racing so watch that one too. Would not surprise me one bit that the Saudis are already in college football. They are already becoming a major influencer in the worlds biggest game.

Looks like wealthy Muslim nations found their next move. They will lose oil. They are gaining in media (both social and traditional). The influence on media can be way more damaging than their damaging grip on oil.

Dude on TB saying we will be lucky to finish top 15 in recruiting. Is he an idiot, or has recruiting slipped?

Does it really matter anymore with the portal? The 2021 CFP was the last year all 4 teams finished previous year in top 10 of recruiting.

2024 CFP teams: Michigan finished 17th, Washington 26th in 247 team rankings
2023 CFP teams: TCU finished 21st, Michigan finished 17th
2022 CFP teams: Cincinnati 42nd
