It seems Heup has gotten too complacent with his staff as well, all signs point to WM coming back as well as banks, all in the name of staff continuity and nothing more. Banks, WM, and even BJM haven’t shown their worth in keeping another year

What on earth? What has BJM done to draw your ire? Did you see the LB room when he showed up? Do you see the young talent in there now? And he’s force feeding them time trying to get them experience while also dealing with injuries. Looks like he’s doing everything he can to build a quality room.

It doesn’t happen overnight. This roster was putrid when Heup got here.

SIAP, why is Baron looking to transfer elsewhere? He's a starter and star here? Not enough NIL? I mean.... pay him for godsake.
He’s done this every year he’s been here, I’m sure the coaches are tired of him always having one foot out the door. Outside of Vandy, he had a total of 1 sack in SEC play. He had 4 of his sacks against UVA, APSU & UTSA. He’s a good player, I just don’t think he’s some stud, can’t replace type of player

Did the staff let Tayven Jackson walk last offseason or did they encourage him to leave? I really hope it is not the later if they didn’t even attempt to bring in another qb
Really wanting to find reasons to dig on the staff today. Shew.

Tayven walked after bowl practice/game because Nico jumped him on the depth chart during bowl practices. He went back home to Indiana to play for his home team, where his brother is on the basketball team.

Step away from the ledge my friend.

It actually does happen overnight now with the transfer rules. We have to address the glaring issues quickly. The roster excuse isn’t valid anymore heading into year 4 with a transfer portal.

I hope you're joking. This team has overachiever with the staff we have in place, so why would anyone be getting fired and how has coach Heupel got complacent? That makes ZERO sense. This team has won in years and now we are winning consistently and you want to tear that down and start over.......that's just DUMB.....👎
This year was not an overachievement by any stretch of the imagination. We had the worst qb play and offense that heupel has ever fielded as a HC. Our defense let us down at the worst times, mainly at the secondary and sometimes at lb too, our passing offense was WILDLY inconsistent and we mismanaged the qb situation as a whole. If we had no intentions of playing Nico, then we should have either tried keeping Jackson or gotten a transfer qb. And dont try the bs of “no quality qb would come here because Milton already had the job” cause that is ********, look at Ole Miss: they had Dart locked as the starter and a good freshman qb coming in, yet they still pulled Oklahoma State’s leader in most passing records as well as another transfer qb.The fact how Heupel wants to keep Martinez and Banks simply for continuity is being complacent, the Missouri loss was on our defense foremost, we about lost to Kentucky because of our defense. Just because the stats show we are middle of the road does not show the true story

You may be right. I just disagree. I think our NIL is extremely weak and not aggressive at all. It doesn’t seem like the staff is actively trying to flip guys either. I mean Hugh Freeze is trying to flip KJ Bolden from FSU. Now he may not but at least he is trying. Why aren’t we? I live this staff but there is just a lot that Indont understand.
You throw out so much subjective BS that you have no clue about. How do you know the coaches aren’t trying to flip this one or that one. Because you haven’t seen a link on a message board or social media? Therefore they couldn’t possibly be trying. I’m beginning to think recruiting really isn’t for you anymore. You really need to find something that brings you some joy.

And they have had multiple holes to fill. It’s like a cartoon trying to plug holes in a wooden boat with pieces of chewed gum.

This roster was atrocious when they took over, especially on defense. It’s getting better.

We’re 19-6 over the last 2 seasons and people wanna complain 😂

This. Look at his other three years on the roster. He's been a solid contributor but often injured. This was his breakout season and he was good, but not exactly a game changer. I really think Tyre West is going to be more of a difference maker when given more snaps. You don't throw a lot of NIL money at Baron to keep him around when you know a guy like West will hit the portal. The coaches are having to let some of these older guys go so they can hang on to the younger (and often more talented) guys. Where are you at if you commit a lot of NIL money to Baron, West leaves (and potentially another guy like Bailey), and then Baron gets hurt (as he often does)? It's time for him to move on...and he really should ride his breakout season to the NFL (whatever round he's taken).

Vegas had Tennessee at 7-5 as the expectation and set the betting line at 9-3. CJH may not have met your expectations but 8-4 is better than 7-5.

They "think" Bama would be more competitive. I "think" FSU's defense and 2nd string QB would keep them in games. It shouldn't matter what we think will happen. FSU earned a playoff spot by going 13-0. If we base things off what we think will happen, why play? Playing the game is how upsets happen, legends are made, and stories are written. Teams that earn a spot based on the games they played should be given that spot. . . not the team with a worse record, but who they think might be better. . .

Hypothetically, Mark Martin qualifies 1st for the Daytona 500, but lets give the pole to Dale Earnhardt because we think he may be able to go faster. . .
Prime example: the Sugar Bowl was basically Miami’s stepping stone for a possible national championship claim as the #3 ranked team.

Then they actually had to play the Tennessee Volunteers with a backup QB, a walk-on RB, and a walk-on CB. The rest is history.

FYI, miami went home after getting ass beat. That’s information for the youngsters.

Honestly, that Tennessee team could beat any of the current playoff teams in my humble opinion. They had the desire and team spirit that’s rarely seen now. They wouldn’t cave to being out talented. 🤠

I really don't see why everybody is so surprised. We all witnessed what went on this year as far as questionable calls and so forth. It's all about money and TV revenue at this point, well it has been forever. The only way to make it half way fair is EVERY Conference Champ gets in. Then the top six or eight remaining teams are determined by taking every major poll and combining the results in a computer program that takes in strength of schedule along with whatever other parameters come into play and then they get in. Take as much of the human element out as possible. Sound simple but then again NOTHING is simple when you add money into the equation.
So you want the BCS, but with more teams?
