Maybe he'll work harder at it now that he's where he wants to be on the depth chart. As you point out, he can fall down it just like he climbed up it.The thing is...he becomes almost useless if the opponent knows it is a run or pass when he is in if the staff try to work around it, so the staff can't call plays around his deficiency or it becomes huge tell..he will get his ass benched if he doesn't get better at pass pro.
It was the one brief second when he lined Jennings up in the wildcat with no huddle in scoring position at Bama, and the Birmingham officials looked to saban to get his attention to call a timeout, since neither Saban or his players had initiated a timeout, but Saban looked clueless, so the officials simply called a timeout for Saban so Saban could reset his confused and badly misaligned defense; and for that one brief moment Cornpone saw for himself how Bama wins and what everyone else knows but has largely grown too used to talk about much after a day. It was on Cornbread's face so clearly: the one moment when the constant corruption and preferential treatment became undeniable, even to a Gump. And then it went out of his other ear and into the Almost.
Ollie beating him out consistently leaves an empty pit in my stomach. You have to be BAD for Ollie to beat you out.Theoretically, Karic is supposed to be the guy at LG next year, which would give UT a veteran o-line without having to rely on the younger guys developing faster. But Karic was supposed to be the guy last year and was beat out by Ollie-- over and over and over again. He also has injury issues. So... an experienced LG seems like a play. Will be interesting to see who enters the portal between now and 1/13.
And..a lot of times it is pure drama queen ...which one ya wanna bet this dude is?Prayers for anyone dealing with that. Goodness, I remember VFL Aaron Sears recounting dealing with that. You never know the miles someone has walked, or the path they took to get there.
Nobody though Tillman was dynamic...until he was...nobody though Hyatt was very good...until he was the best WR in CFB all of a damn sudden. My one thought about Keyton's mistake is if he expected the ball to be underthrown. But, the paly was there.
I agree that WR is not the concern that others have. I just re-watched the second half against USC after Bru got hurt. WR's were open. Brazzell, Matthews, and Staley will a lot of talent. Unlike some, I think Nimrod is solid, just maybe not the dynamic guy we are used to. But the talent is on the roster.
Still in on some, but they're expecting others to be available. Numbers can be worked out, even though the roster has more or less stabilized after the exit meeting departures.Does the staff already have an idea of who they are targeting / who they are expecting to go into the portal, or are we just in a holding pattern to see who goes in?
Certainly not qualified to make that conclusion. I absolutely appreciate all health care practitioners who went out into the world and got degreed to listen to other people's BS. You really do have to be a special person to do that job.And..a lot of times it is pure drama queen ...which one ya wanna bet this dude is?
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and acts like a duck...it's a damn duck.
I’m not sure what I was expecting but did not expect how smooth and quick Nico looked running the ball. He also looked to have every bit of the velocity and quick release Joe has. His deep ball to Keyton looked perfect had 9 tracked it. He’s a more talented Hendo Cinco. I might actually pay attention spring practice reports this ti
I actually meant to put a lol emoji at the end of that post and didn't.I assure you i'm not trying to start anything. Its something we need to be cognizant of in this day and time. Winners want to win. So, show the kid we are serious and get the best, and I believe we will.
AP is reporting we are going after the OT from LSU that just entered the portal.
Although I do appreciate a good UM callout
Once again…I’ll ride with seven and skip the Xanax. I remember the angst when Merrill, Calloway and Holiday departed last off-season. Their contributions at their new destinations don’t have me whimsical of the depth they would have provided when Bru and Thornton fell. Added three lose two? Even my bad math doesn’t see the subtraction.Yes Nimrod and Webb did play, especially when Bru and Thornton were hurt.
You gotta have a little depth.
I remember when all the impatient know-it-all dumbasses were saying the same dumb last year about all the WRs except for Tillman...and they were all saying that same dumb about Tillman the year before that.We just need Bru to say he's officially coming back and I think we will be really good to great at WR.
Keyton was good when he had dudes around him. He's average. Webb and Nimrod are average. Solid back ups, but they are essentially Jimmy Holiday and Walker Merrill.
Bru, Brazzell, Squirrel, Thornton, Leacock, Matthews and Stayley are all more talented than Nimrod, Keyton and Webb.
Will be a completely different room next year.
