“Inconsistent on the offensive end” is just a bad take.

No team in TN history has played a stronger first 13 games. This team has had just 3 games failing to reach 70, against one they won by 19 points and the other 2 was Purdue & Kansas.

Kansas was our worst offensive showing, it was the 3rd day in a row we played and on a neutral court in a time zone a few hours behind us. Also the only game we didn’t shoot at least 10 FTs in so far this season.

Tarleton is a top 25 defense & Purdue/Kansas the way those games were officiated killed offensive rhythm.

We have players that are inconsistent offensively, but as a team we’ve done pretty good. And 77.8 ppg is second in the Barnes era to only that last Grant team that scored 82 ppg.

Rewatched the Iowa game. I'm a Heupel fan... I just don't understand why we didn't use Nico in some fashion to help win games this year.

Maybe I'm wrong but redzone? We couldn't put together a Nico package? Heupel has always loved him some Joe.
Let it f'n go man....for craps sake..let it f'n go..🤦‍♂️

We did not have a good punter this year. A lot of out of bounds and/or short punts.
He had a very bad first game. 5/179 35.8 average. After that, he was pretty good. He had one game where he averaged 39.5 on two kicks and another where he averaged 39.7 on 3. All the rest were 40 or better. Again, a lot is what you seem to remember but not what the stats show.

Im not sure that area is considered restricted by the faa. Maybe the inside of the stadium when it's in use. I think it's most likely restricted by the university. The b4ufly app shows no restrictions, other than island home airport and a small area around the military location. You can fly near UT hospital as well, even though they have lifestar flights all day.

Somebody, please get that young lady a biscuit.
Breakfast Biscuit Grape Jelly GIF - Breakfast biscuit Grape ...
She looks better on TV. Hate to destroy some of your takes here but she might weigh 100 lbs and has zero thighs/rear. If you like bone skinny women, she's your thing. Very pretty face but anorexic if you saw her in person like I did.

Look, I’m not sure you’ll ever get what your searching for and contrary to your belief that this is an NIL issue, it’s not.

Tennessee’s NIL has delivered on everything asked of it and continues to be ready for anything needed.

We brought back every top current player our coaches wanted to keep from transferring out. We secured tons of guys who could be on NFL rosters next year. We have brought in top key transfers at positions of need and will add 2-4 more. Very sorry they may not be the super sexy names you want but we got the top guys our coaches identified.

Lastly we have the best per quality of player class we’ve had in 20ish years. We’ve done it with a coaching staff who doesn’t believe in undo pressure on players to commit, over the top promises or anything other than very candid honest connections with players. It’s what they believe in and is what builds our culture and helps us retain. It certainly has us lose some HS recruits here and there as there are many coaches still recruiting like it’s 2017 and making Empty Butch promises left and right and not adapting to the transfer world which is why you see other programs hemorrhaging unlike us.

Also there is absolutely no old school recruiting tactics being done here anymore with the NCAa issues. So no handlers getting cash, no extra visit incentives, no gray area stuff which is still happening in
Recruiting and I’m sure hurts us as well.

But in summary, TNs NIL is the best thing going for our recruiting efforts right now
And we’d love to have everyone join us so we can be as strong as possible.

Memberships

But we work with our staff and our still well on our way to building a Championship team even if it doesn’t look exactly like @Chuckie thinks it should.

Go Vols!
Hey, I hear you. And contrary to the twitter reaction and the (implied) tone of your response here, I'm not saying you all are doing a bad job. You've given a lot of context that I've never seen disclosed before, which helps to clear up some of the confusion that we as outsiders have when looking at the situation. I continue to take the stance that I (and I'm sure many others) want to see how this plays out before committing disposable income to it.

My biggest concern right now is that it looks like we have a once-a-generation talent at QB, and it would feel very reassuring to see commensurate talent in the position groups that are tasked with protecting him. You mentioned that we a lot has been spent to keep players on the roster, which we can all see. And I think our starting OL is serviceable. But it would feel really good to see an upgrade in talent in that group, or at least some good-quality backups.

I'm not trying to make this personal, just putting an opinion out there that is likely more prominent than you may think.

That tends to happen with short punts...

35th in the country with 41.3 net punt average, which is the stat that matters. But better the rankings don’t take into account number of punts (first 3 listed had combined 7 punts on the season and others listed had less than 5, some only a single punt).

First punter with normal amount would FL’s punter ranking 4th @ 44.3 net yards.

So 3 yards better than Jackson Ross.

He had a very bad first game. 5/179 35.8 average. After that, he was pretty good. He had one game where he averaged 39.5 on two kicks and another where he averaged 39.7 on 3. All the rest were 40 or better. Again, a lot is what you seem to remember but not what the stats show.
I didn’t panic when the game thread wanted to drop both him and the kickoff specialist off in the country. That patience was highly rewarded. We’re great at punting for the next three.
