Who? I want him to be successful. Fact is with where Florida is now and where we are now he should win that game at home. If he can’t beat Florida now, the future doesn’t look real fantastic for him to ever beat them. Heupel is a good coach and great playcaller but if you cannot land Oline in year four and have sub par starters there it’s a severe problem.

There are other guys currently in the portal. Look, we have another guy visiting this week. Funny that you claim I’m insulting you when we are discussing a position for a September football game. Just strange overreactions. I do wonder about people on here sometimes.

All while we keep hearing Heup, DW, and others say "our goal is to win championships here at Tennessee"................................. "but as long as it's cheap and we don't have to pay too much or risk hurting someone's feewings on the current roster even though all these other schools seem to be dealing with it."

Sorry, I don't want to hear that crap anymore unless you are showing us you are taking the necessary steps to do so... Still time in the portal, but there's been at least 5-7 Oline upgrades that have come and gone already in the portal if we whiff on all that showed up this weekend, but this staff seems very confident with the current Oline depth. In before "well they had something already set up before they entered"... cool, why haven't we done that? Not gonna keep pissing about this anymore, it is what it is, guess we'll see what happens.

IMO going into year 4, there has been enough time, money, and portal options to get us where we need to be... No excuses for this staff this fall if there's a glaring hole in one of the position groups and it causes us to fall short/end up with some L's...

Feel the same, but we ain't beating UF until we do. UGA, bama and UF are losses until UT proves otherwise. As for UF, Heupel had better get this one, because I suspect their next hire won't be the fuster cluck this last one was. UF won't stay down for long. Too good a program to do what we did. They'll have a lot of great coaches looking to get that job...and if they say no, I can guarantee you Kiffin would jump. Wouldn't that be a hoot? Kiffin as UF's coach. Gawd.

That’s what everyone sees coming. You got them at home when they’re down. You better get them this year. Bama, Georgia are elite programs; people get pissed losing to them but right now it’s expected. Kiffin goes there we may not beat those bastards again in my lifetime.

He’s talking consistently. And I mean Heupel has done a lot to get closer to those not being automatic losses. This year everyone thought we would beat Florida; he beat Bama for a half of football as well then let it get away. No doubt in my mind that Heupel has elevated the program above where it was when he got here.

We can't beat UF unless we prove we beat them more times than not? We've proven we can beat them at home while they are down. We've proven at least that much.

BVS is a powerful drug.

Interesting the extremes here.

You have one group that think the sky is falling and another group that thinks this isn't an issue.

Both are wrong.

It isn't great that we haven't landed any of these offensive linemen but our program isn't going into the toilet.

The key is it could be the difference between going 10-2 next year versus 9-3 or 8-4. This past year, we had a lot of injuries so having that depth would really help. So, in a way I lean a little more on this being disappointing and have made comments about our recruiting being an issue although you can argue this staff is doing a good job all circumstances considered (notably the NCAA violation limitations).
