Not trying to start a fuss here and frankly Tennessee isn't the only fanbase that has to be scratching their head about this one but how come Ole Miss is landing all these transfer players. What makes their NIL situation so special?

& bama making fake degrees. 👀

The joke in Texas is that if you can’t get into a real college, you can always get into bama or ole miss.

Wouldn’t let my kids even look at their websites. I allowed them the fallback plan of Arkansas. But thankfully neither one needed it in the end. 😊

Auburn hosted Mississippi State offensive tackle transfer Percy Lewis on an official visit and the Tigers are now a finalist for him.

He also visited Arkansas earlier in the week and following his visit to the Plains, he will no longer be visiting Ole Miss.

“I just took two visits — I ain’t going to take no more,” Lewis told Auburn Undercover’s Nathan King. “It’s time to narrow it down because it’s getting about that time again. So I ain’t going to keep going on these visits. I’m just going to narrow it down. Get home tonight, do a little thinking by myself and just make my move in the morning.”

Did he have a change of heart?
He's deal shopping.

IDT they're desperate. Motivated and focused, yes. But you have to get better guys than you currently have. It doesn't make sense to overpay for guys you don't think bring what you need right now.
That’s what scares me.

They started a former walk on at RT who likely would start next year and he tackled our own QB.

We need a RT desperately.

I think we are as well but we will see. Winning in Norman and Athens are already two tall hurdles that we will be hard-pressed to achieve. Keep in mind we have a very tough schedule. It is both a blessing and a curse. Reminds me of 2022 when we finally overcame Alabama. Most teams would be able to beat Florida, Pitt, LSU, and Alabama and then coast to playoff but our schedule still had Georgia as well on it and in our way.

Georgia is the main hurdle we haven't overcome, and to be frank, it is very understandable as Georgia has had the BEST team in the nation the last 3 years (yes I still think they were the best team this year).
We think our o-line troubles are bad...Oklahoma has lost all the highlighted players off their depth chart to nfl or transfer portal, including the entire starting line. The did bring in 3 3star transfers that haven't really played a lot at their old schools

Yeah who wants an OL that helps a team be the #1 offense in the country and follows up with #1 rushing attack in the SEC
That's with others recruits though. He has had some pretty big misses and his first couple classes were pretty bad.

Before people point well sanctions or try to make excuses. We've landed, Nico, Sampson, Matthews, West, Pearce, Bradley, Carter(highly rated even if I don't love him), Matthews(DB), Carter...... pretty much every position has had some pretty big wins except for OL. Even this class which is ellerbeees best, he's had some pretty big misses.

Would it not be better to ask ole miss fans? From an outside perspective they have way more needs to be filled than we do…why do we need to compare to ole miss in transfer portal is the better question?

Without any insider knowledge but from convos here and elsewhere, perhaps Ole Miss isn't focused nearly as much on 'fit with the environment' and is taking any 'big target' willing to come there way even if that person causes disruption in the locker room.

Interesting the extremes here.

You have one group that think the sky is falling and another group that thinks this isn't an issue.

Both are wrong.

It isn't great that we haven't landed any of these offensive linemen but our program isn't going into the toilet.

The key is it could be the difference between going 10-2 next year versus 9-3 or 8-4. This past year, we had a lot of injuries so having that depth would really help. So, in a way I lean a little more on this being disappointing and have made comments about our recruiting being an issue although you can argue this staff is doing a good job all circumstances considered (notably the NCAA violation limitations).

So people want him fired for things that haven’t happened yet on the field? Bc so far the product on the field has been pretty dang effective.
