What? Why would Jim wait for the Ravens playoff season to be completed? He isn't going to be an assistant for his brother, and he isn't going to replace his brother. The Ravens are totally irrelevant.

Plus I think some better teams (in the playoffs) might have positions that open up. He took the job at the 49ers for a specific reason when he moved to the NFL last time. He's got no reason to take just any old job, he'll want more roster control and such...

Bama was on their 4-5 candidate…some of our fans “well he has a better resume than Saban did when LSU hired him”…like that matters 😂😂😂 come on how is that not hilarious?

Heupel has to seize this moment. We got our QB. We got our oline. Our enemies are in disarray. I studied this a lot today cause i am telling you guys i think this was the last dominoe for a TN takeoff.

With that let me do some actual work.

Georgia looms large

It should be the other way around. Deboer is much more proven than Lanning.
Lanning has the energy and excitement that Deboer doesn’t bring. Plus, Lanning hasn’t been at Oregon but two years, and both have been pretty successful years. And if recruiting is key, I’d take Lanning over Deboer any day of the week.

Lanning also was the DC when Georgia turned the corner... and the fact he's won so well with Bo freaking Nix at QB says something.

But Dan isn't going to step into someone's shadows. Oregon is far enough removed from Chip that he's quickly carving his face on their Rushmore for greatest coaches and with the move to the Big 10 it will only get better for him.
