I want to see Nico going forward. I know I shouldn’t because we want him to be ready and not thrown in before he is. I’m not going to hate on Joe, he’s is a true VFL at this point, but he doesn’t have it, will he as the season progresses, I don’t know. I hate feeling this way. I guess I just want to see how Nico does in garbage time and we haven’t been able to see much.Nico has great pocket awareness and can move smoothly to avoid the rush and poor Joe is just clunky and can't make even the subtle moves needed to make defenses react and moves players open. Nico is already a better QB and will grow to do even more. I would be surprised if Joe doesn't start but Nico will play next week and you will see with your own eyes. Nico will come in because Joe has done well and we have a big lead or , well, you know what comes after the or...............and that would mean Nico playing going forward.
Defense, specifically 3rd down defense was as big a problem as Joe was to be honest. Joes management of the offense was worse than his play. Defense letting them bleed clock and nickel and dime us I’m the first half didn’t allow us to run hardly any plays. We can win with Joe however he isn’t as good as Hendon.I want to see Nico going forward. I know I shouldn’t because we want him to be ready and not thrown in before he is. No one hates Joe. He is 6'5" 240, he could he grading dudes. We have dumbed down the offense for him, and still csnt get it done. Sorry, if you arent the guy, next man up.The Joe hate is a little overblown. 3rd down defense was atrocious. Joe has limitations but he is good enough to win games for us.
I get what you’re saying but he does have ties to Tennessee. He lives here.It hardly matters. He can sell the vision and celebrity he is, and those he brings. We will have the same record or worse as colorado, so who would you rather play for as a young kid with stars in your eyes and nothing tying you to Tennessee?
Anyone talking firing and trying to twist player comments into locker room issues is an idiot and honestly part of the problem the last 20 years. Nobody is above criticisms for performance but once the rednecks start running their mouths and making noise about lockeroom issues and hot seat takes it starts the cracks. Anyone wanting Heupel gone is a moron and anyone wanting mass staff turnover is a moron.
