I usually don't watch replay of games to me it's redundant.but I watched the replay of Saturdays game... looked to me Tennessee played not to lose rather than playing to win....
I think they're extremely limited. Which, makes no sense when your QB can throw it a country mile.

On paper they WR's are really really good. Turns out, maybe they arent. I mean, common sense is teams have zero faith in our vertical passing game. I mean, why would they? So, they jam the LOS, play the run. And yet, we throw screens, and run up the gut.

We have good 'possession' receivers, which we dont. But, only squirrel is dynamic.

Speaking of WRs

Someone needs to redo the rosters for NCAA14 and give Ramel a 0 for catching and 99 for spectacular catch. Swear he only catches stuff he isn’t suppose to, and he drops freebies all the time

Even though I would prefere for Nico not to be sacrificed this season.....I really would like to see the youth movement in the secondary.....Burrell is actually doing very well leave him alone for now ....Hadden eeeh needs to be doing his MMA training instead of being on the field....
He ran into the scuffle and was clearly pushing his teammate away until the guy came at him.

Man, you just described our entire WR core.

Also, for 'escapability', a 0....but, 'runs right into traffic' i'd give them a power boost

This made me laugh lol

The last two seasons started a little off on offense for 2-3 games before things really started to click. We were able to overcome that against Pitt last season because Hendon and Cooper were able to make the right calls and quick enough to keep the pace up on offense, so they weren't experiencing a lot of self-inflicted wounds. I'm sure this team is going to be a lot better at the end of the season...I just hope they make some quick improvements so we're not looking back going "what if".

Everyone talking about our defense. It wasn't our defense that lost us that game. Offense scored 7 points in first half. D was on the field entire 1st half. Defense played well enough in 2nd half to give offense a chance to win. Milton is not it. Just based off the play calling they don't trust his arm. He's terrible and I don't even want to hear it. There's a reason he lost his job at every school he's been at. Long season ahead unless something changes at QB.

So I think Florida, to their credit learned from that Utah game.

Against Utah they had something like 50 passing plays, gave up 5 sacks and Mertz tossed an INT. They 13 rushes (removing QB runs/sacks) for less than 50 yards.

The flipped those numbers completely around and Banks wasn't prepared in the first half to face a run heavy short passing attack. They ended up attempting around 25 passes and 40 or so rushing attempts.

349 total yards for the gators, and 172 came from Etienne and 62 of those were off that one big TD run.

I love Beasley but we need someone on defense to be a damn dog for this team like Al Wilson. Cause the way most the defense approaches tackling is pretty pitiful.

Not sure how one watches that game and thinks Milton is the biggest issue. OL got toasted all night. Couldn’t run the ball bc of it. Couldn’t get in rhythm on offense bc of all the penalties.

Milton is certainly no HH and a different QB might mask some of those mistakes but 99% of QB’s are struggling in that game behind that OL.

Really missed Pili. Defense needs a leader to help with discipline and especially to keep track of alignments/matchups. Florida was running a ton of motion and Herring wasn't able to adjust, which is totally understandable considering his inexperience. I think that'll get better as the year goes on but it killed us on Saturday.

Offense didn't look great, but it's hard when you only get the ball a couple times. Florida kept the offense off the field for what felt like the entire first half. Even when we did have the ball, the OL was horrible. Hard to judge Milton for that.

Sure, he can make mistakes. He's human. But don't you think people are overreacting to one loss in year 3??

BTW, you can be wrong, too. None of us are perfect.

Tho I am pretty damn close.

I’m not overreacting to the loss. I haven’t even said anything about the loss. I’m commenting strictly on the use of one player.

You all jump on people who disagree with our coaches in any way, shape, or form. This board would be literally quite pointless if all we did was sit here and agree with every decision made by a coach and never had any discussion about the actual decisions made by the staff.

JUST Ollie Lane had almost half our rushing total in penalty yards and that's just the ones they accepted on him.

The OL brought in 2 transfers that are both starting and we have a walk-on in the rotation. That's a concern regardless of who the QB is, making Joe the scapegoat because of inaccuracy is kind of silly. He's thrown for 225 yards and at least 2 TDs in every game. Hendo was 285 and 2.5 TDs, so really not a huge stepback in that regard. But we're not taking shots as much because the OL can't really protect well enough.
