Desperate clients will exhaust every avenue they can to win their case, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if the NCAA asked for certiorari by the Supreme Court.
Also, you act like Tennessee getting an injunction is a slam dunk. I don't think it's going to be that cut and dry.
Being a member school of the NCAA is a voluntary act, and you're agreeing to their governance by joining. If the NCAA has credible evidence of a violation, I'm not sure what type of claim against them UT would have in court, other than an extension of the Alston decision.
Yet again, time is the big issue here. All it takes is 2 or 3 games without Nico before an injunction is granted or under appeal to change the trajectory of the season.
