Andy knows his ****.
I like him, but it pisses me off that nobody will speak the real truth that everybody knows is the real truth...that some players have been getting paid huge sums illegally by certain schools forever...those NCAA darling schools could cheat with impunity which led to the horrible unbalanced competitive situation over the last 15 years.

It felt like he started to say it...then backed off.

Dan Lust (lawyer) on 104.5 discussing VOLS vs NCAA. Notes:

- Shocking that within 24 hours the AG Lawsuit is filed. Surprise response time that is unprecedented with previous cases.
- The rules of a private institution generally does not win when going up against state law. More often than not, state law takes precedent. This was only a matter of time before this happened.
- The NCAA went a year without punishing anyone, and then went another year with only punishing Miami women's basketball, and then all of a sudden gets UF, FSU, and now UT. If they allowed this conduct to happen, and now punish people, the optics are horrendous. You aren't really punishing anyone; it leaves a sour taste.
- Not surprised it's UT because of the disdain from the NCAA but surprised it took this long. This should have started in 2021.
- People should have their expectations checked. The filing of the lawsuit doesn't do anything until a judge rules on it. May take a lot of time.

Not a lot but he expounded more on his own podcast last night if you'd like to listen.

That's true if it's only two state AG's involved, but I think Blackburn's comments indicate that this is fixing to go to a different level. If the legislative branch of the federal government publicly opens an investigation of the NCAA or 10-20 other states join the suit, then whoever said the commissioners of the SEC and Big 10 will be running the show, will be exactly correct.

Any NCAA pronouncements they disagree with will be summarily ignored by the institution and the conferences. Shortly after, most major sports schools will announce their withdrawal from the NCAA and the formation of a new governing body for athletics at those institutions. If Arkansas St, Emory & Henry, Brown and ND State want to stay in the NCAA, they can have at it.

UT is on top of this NCAA investigation. Admin knew it was coming, and it was inevitable. The NCAA thought UT was not punished sufficiently last year, they did not like the support UT brought in and they were not through with UT. UT did not appreciate the way the NCAA said one thing and did another, and UT admin did not appreciate the late add-ons.

Everybody put a good public face on it, but neither side was happy with the other or the outcome of the investigation. Coming after UT as a repeat offender was always going to happen. The NCAA wanted to make an example out of big powerful school, and UT has been painted as a rogue program in multiple sports. (Hint: baseball.) This is unfinished business, and UT is prepared to finish it.

TBH, the university has always worked best when it has an actual enemy to attack instead of itself and each other.

The amount of preparation, time and due diligence that has gone into this is impressive.

I cannot be more proud of my University and the State of TN.

This will be the type of case law that is talked about for decades and decades.

I truly believe that TN will not stop when pursuing this.

The NCAA is one of the most corrupt organizations there is, and I that is coming to an abrupt end. No more. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Some schools won’t join the fight cause they know their “protective shield” is about to disappear.

Decade of the Vols 👀

The demise began when some decided that there should be no such thing as amateur athletes

But I digress.............:)
And that was when football began being play in college. Players have always been compensated. Heck in the even in the early days there were player who didn't even attend college playing college football.

This is too good 😂

NIL Violation Rules

You can't just be up there and just doin' a violation like that.

1a. A violation is when you

1b. Okay well listen. A violation is when you violate the

1c. Let me start over

1c-a. The school is not allowed to do a contract to the, uh, recruit, that prohibits the recruit from doing, you know, just trying to play football. You can't do that.

1c-b. Once the school is in communication with the recruit, they can't be over here and say to the recruit, like, "I'm gonna pay ya! I'm gonna make you rich! You better get your bank info ready!" and then just be like he didn't even do that.

1c-b(1). Like, if you're about to offer money and then don't do it, you have to still pay. You cannot not pay. Does that make any sense?

1c-b(2). You gotta be, on signing day, and then sign, until you give them the Lambos.

1c-b(2)-a. Okay, well, you can have the NIL offer, like this, but then there's the violations you gotta think about.

1c-b(3). Okay seriously though. An NIL violation is when the school or NIL collective makes an offer that, as determined by, when you do an offer involving the university and recruiting of the

2) Do not do a violate please.
