IDGAF about causing toxic problems on the team for any reason...it reputedly did at Arky.
Obviously you have the right on a public message board to read and respond as you wish. You may read posts individually and take them out of context all you like. But you are barking up the wrong tree trying to paint me as a member of the worry circle that is afraid of its own shadow. My post history doesn’t support your assertion. Just because I have a post about a particular situation stating that I don’t trust an entity to be on the up and up, and don’t necessarily think some joint advisory committee between the same big and sec officials who are already running the ncaa, will be any better for UT than the ncaa already is, doesn’t mean I borrow troubles or worry excessively. I promise I won’t lose any sleep over it. It was an observation about my reservation regarding the intentions of said committee. Nothing more, nothing less.I am not necessarily condescending you, but I am condescending the constant worry circle here that unceasingly promotes an attitude of UT victim-hood. If that's not you, so be it. Just know that I roll my eyes at the comment and sentiment, and not the poster.
If that is you, I'd recommend you stop borrowing worries from the future.
The cycle of imagining everything to UT's demise gets tiring.
NCAA is gunning for UT, threatening LOIC and a post-season ban.
Oh no! Will we survive?!
Don't worry, this is much more likely to kill the NCAA than UT.
Looks like the NCAA may be dying.
Oh no! Ohio State may...!
Sorry, but that is worthy of an eye roll. Take a breath from the current catastrophe before creating another one, brother.
There aren’t that many out, because being out itself would cause problems in a locker room. Like it or not, not everyone is okay with it. Especially somewhere like a locker room.I think that it would be rare for the same problem to happen at a different place. There aren't that many gay D1 players.
Can't have caps or revenue sharing or pretty much any enforceable rules dealing with compensation without a CBA.I'm not naïve on this. No, we won't be going back to when players aren't being paid (and I don't want to go back to that). But, we do need rules/guidelines. I'm hoping something can be worked out to keep things competitive where many schools have a chance to compete and it's not just coming down to the highest bidder. Maybe salary caps? Revenue Sharing? I don't know. Yea, that sounds like 'pro sports'.
SIAP but this is just flat out ridiculous. So, the NCAA didn’t actually find anything NEW that we did wrong when they claimed on Monday they had multiple violations against multiple programs they were planning to hit us with?’
They’re just trying to re-try infractions cases that were ALREADY CLOSED!!!! Incredible. Any shred of illusion that the NCAA doesn’t hate us is completely broken. This is an actual witch hunt. Double jeopardy?? Hello???
The COLLEGE part doesn’t make much of a difference down here. Male COLLEGE athletes still have more of a problem with it, especially black ones. Even in COLLEGE.Maybe male athletes in the South but since we're narrowing try on male COLLEGE athletes in the South. We handled it with Jackie Walker for heaven's sake. A metric ton has changed since then.

I don't care what they do either as long as it doesn't cause problems.I think that it would be rare for the same problem to happen at a different place. There aren't that many gay D1 players let alone ones who are going to hook up with each other instead of someone else. Arkansas caught lightning in a bottle - just of the unfortunate variety.
Rules, for other forms of cheating, sure. But not around paying players though.I'm not naïve on this.
