Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Nope. They're better off drafting the weird, unlikable QB that insulted the state University and also has a long history of throwing pick 6s in moments that need clutch play.

That's the ticket to an adoring fanbase.
As always, you can be weird and unlikable and whatever else as long as you are also good amd win games. Aaron Rodgers is weird and unlikeable too but no one cares because he wins. Where Levis messed up is that he sucks lol

Not a Titans fan but it's only Levis's second year, individuals act like he should've came in and been 1st team All Pro. Quarterback position is the hardest to play in NFL and look around the league a lot more bad starting QB's than good ones.

I think we are elite at some positions...but overall, I think we are a really good defense.

"Elite" level is really hard to reach in my opinion...I think we have seen several stacked elite defenses at all 3 levels from Georgia, Bama, and a few others like Clemsons a few years ago. I just don't know if I believe we have the horses or numbers in the defensive backfield to be truly an overall elite defense.

LB seems a little thin to me yet, but our guys are playing extremely well.

If we can ever start attracting elite HS DBs annually to jump on board....I do think we can get there.
Just wait. Our defense is just getting warmed up. Takes a little time to play that many linemen and linebackers and still jell.
When you look back at the end of the season, you will see it happening quarter by quarter and game by game. As the opponents get tougher, our defense will too.

16-0 🤠

Starts with this defense
And this special teams
And this offense
And these coaches

And I say that

I didn't act like that at all but he talked all off season about being smarter with the football, not playing hero ball, etc and then makes one of the dumbest plays I've ever seen in his first game. He's Jake Locker with a stronger arm and worse brain. It's not feasible to bench him right now but he's not going to make it here.

Jmo.

We have Fubo so my wife can watch all the Braves games. Don’t worry, it also has the 24/7 Unsolved Mysteries channel as well.
Maybe the "Why the Braves make unfathomable decisions" episode will make it onto the Unsolved Mysteries channel sometime this winter lol

Counterpoint:

This is what he's been in College as well. Also, shame on the Titans office for letting them get in the situation where they have to start a rookie (that chronically threw the ball to the opposition in college as well).

The big thing we can’t get hung up on is the media hype going forward. Don’t listen and read about it. It’s rat poison. Start reading it and believing you are great, then you stop doing what got you there. We will find out how well the team can handle it going to OU. Take care of business there, then we will have 2 weeks to hear it as probably a top 5 team. I want to see if we can keep the same intensity and focus week in and week out, and not let the outside talk affect us. Have to keep playing with chips on our shoulders.
I think that’s what happened with the 2022 team. Went to uga ranked #1. Believed the press.
uga also read it and took it as insulting and had to prove to the nation that the press was wrong.
JMO, without that #1 ranking, it would have been a better game for Tennessee.

He's lying. When he hears UT he thinks 52-49.

When I think left tackle I don't think of him.
And as petty as seems, as long as the Titans draft pieces of human debris like Latham, who derrive their livelihood in TN and say intentiorally inflammatory crap like this, I will always subconsciously root against them. First it was George and Kearse. The Titans PR has always tried to paint them as the dominant football influence in the state. They are the epitome of interloper. If they ever become interested in winning over native Tennesseans they need to look across town and take a page out of the Preds book.

You're not wrong. Levis ain't it. He looks like a Trubisky clone to me with even worse decision making.

Soo...can I assume they put us in primetime tonight because Nico and the recent hype have made us interesting to more CFB fans across the country?

Otherwise, I can't imagine why the heck they would want to show a massive blowout against sorry Kent St in the 7-8pm range...these kind of games are always early.
