Recruiting Football Talk VIII

It’s amazing to me that all of these touted universities and conferences can’t handle simple math and counting seems beyond their capabilities.
PAC 12 with 6 members.
Big 12 with? Members
Big 10 finally gave up and went to B1G which also shows that they are failing at even spelling a 3 letter word.
Universities like michigan, ohio stare and penn state have always been condescending towards the Southern universities but their lack of academic prowess is on full hypocritical display. 😂

I am so pumped/anxious for this weekend. Woke up hoping to see a game thread. I hope we never take our foot of their throats this weekend. Their fans have a lot of unwarranted confidence based on their results from their past poverty conferences.

A lot of posts on the 10% upcharge.

Imo as DW, it's perfect timing. We're firing on all cylinders. Wouldn't fly other times.

That said, look at the coaches and admin first. Based on revenues, they don't deserve their levels of compensation. They've been artificially inflated for decades DUE TO not having to pay players. It was always BS. Just like nurses...it isn't about how hard you work or your contribution to society...in capitalism it's about your market worth. And theirs is artificial...
There is no artificial, there is no price gouging. It is the market that dictates price pure and simple, the cost of business has gone up. It boggles the mind how many can't understand basic economics. Every team is raising prices, this 10% talent fee is a marketing gimmick that is all. Alabubba, Jawga, Blowhio, are all raising ticket prices but they are not making a reason public. Tennessee is trying to make the increase more palatable buy giving a reason.
It is no wonder so many will vote for that vapid, moronic woman.

Tony V is going to win multiple championships here. He's the Goat
I like the fact that our other coaches in football, basketball (both men’s and women’s) seem to be taking it as a challenge to get a national championship in their sports as well.
Isn’t this a fun and refreshing experience?

Next up is the football team with

16-0 🤠

We are good at most everything. They are hardly good at anything. We come in focused and ready to handle biness... we will handle that biness.
I think Tennessee wins this game by 10+ if they can do these 3 things.
1 .Win Turnover battle
2. O line holds their water. In the past our O line hasn't performed well in loud, hostile environments.
3. Nico plays within the system. He is still young, first start on the road in SEC at night. He doesn't have to be superman. Play within the system and protect the ball.

@Enki_Amenra you post a lot of video analyses every week. Which one would you say is the best if I only wanted to watch one a week?

👍
I like watching Bull at Blue-chip Breakdown. He may not be the best, but he's pretty good, a likeable dude and a huge Vols fan as well.

I like Carter the Power too. He seems like a super-nerd with an annoying laugh, but makes some good points in his videos.

It’s a marketing ploy and excuse to drive more revenue. It’s genius. And with us selling out season tickets, they have no reason not to take advantage.

But hey we can always go back to the Dooley/butch/cornbread years.
I don't think we can, especially when putting so much in the laps of the fans.

It would be nice to see them pull a few dollars from all the money they're bringing in to help the fans cover the cost, instead of putting it all on our shoulders. Not that they have to, it would just be a good gesture to show we're all in it together. It wouldn't even need to be a huge amount to make fans feel like they're doing their part and we're doing ours when it comes to paying NIL.

It’s every defense’s kryptonite*. Arnold is a good runner and he will probably keep several plays alive this weekend. This defense faced Milroe (who is a better runner IMO) last year and contained him pretty well.
We also don't have Herring on contain this year. It will be Carter, Perry, Pili, Telander, Josephs, Pierce, et al

I agree. Great observation about Faulkner. That offense gave Haynes king a second life.
I think Faulkner is great and going places, and Monken is as good as it gets. I wish both of them were still at UGA. But I also think hating Bobo is profoundly mistaken. All the guy does is produce consistently productive offenses. He sets up plays as well as anybody and is a savant at beating zone defense.

I also think talent beats scheme at the highest level. Every college OC can draw up and call great plays, but there ain’t another Brock Bowers.
