Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I’ve read plenty of his articles over the years. He doesn’t deserve the clicks anymore. I guess I see the snarkiness and you can’t, and you conveniently clipped off the subtitle where the snarkiness lies.

Didn’t have VN defending John Adams on my bingo card today but here we are!
Why should we even try to my fair and reasonable with that tool? He's never been fair to us. Eff him

That’s our culture today. Read headline, skip article, share outrage, then cancel the writer.

I know people don’t want to hear it but Adams has been nothing but positive on the Basilio show. In ‘22 he was calling for us to win a lot of games including Alabama. He says Heupel is our Spurrier. Let’s run Adams out of town for saying such blasphemies!
Eff him

UGA went 13 years without playing in Tuscaloosa. 2007 to 2020. In that same time they also don’t ever play at the Swamp. Their fans will say “but it’s still in Florida” but look at the crowd mix it’s definitely 50/50. A neutral site game. During this same time Tennessee has been down so who have they played regular season that’s been challenging? It’s mostly been Auburn. Talk about a cakewalk schedule for more than a decade. They’ve had it easy. Time to play real schedule Georgia.
Good post. Birmingham manipulation. That was a giant plus for Bama too.

Georgia dodging the Swamp has been a big advantage. The most disadvantageous time to play there is SEC opener with the extreme heat. We got saddled with that, beginning at a time it made zero sense because the East was usually decided by that game.

Kirby is trying to get the rule changed that says programs can't host recruits at neutral site games. To keep his advantage of skipping the swamp and being rewarded for it.

Georgia also never played at TAMU in the regular rotation of non-annual games where every team eventually played every other. That tough road game for UGA somehow was skipped by Birmingham.

So sorry for your loss. My Mom is going through the fight with Dementia as well. Makes me so sad to see her falling a little further every day.
I went through this with my dad, 10+ years before he scummed to this horrible disease.
It’s hard on the family especially those who care for their loved one. My dads youngest brother wanted dad at a family function (he lived in Texas and hadn’t seen dad in 3-4 years) I said no, he got really upset with me but I told him go see dad for yourself. After visiting dad at the memory care facility he asked me with tears in his eyes “how do you do it?” I told him because I love him and I remember how he was.
That’s the advice I give everyone.

Speaking of gyms and ppl sucking…

Do all gyms have that “one guy”? You all know the guy I’m referring to…

I’m just minding my own business…got my headphones on…pushing through the day’s training…

All the sudden, that “one guy”…”UHHHH. UHHHH. UHHHH.” As he does his reps…slams weights down when he’s through his set…then proceeds to strut around like he’s done something…like, why not just come in wearing neon bright gym clothes so everyone can make sure and see him…THAT “one guy”? Oh…and he’s a little skinny dude too…

Do all gyms have that guy? Sheesh.
Maybe? Probably.

But my headphones are on a 9 and noise canceling. Don't have to hear the grunts 😅

My gym peeve are the folks that wet down every ******* machine...like guy...the idea is to wipe it down, not leave chemicals running down off it. Then I have to wipe off your mess just to use the machine. Whyyyy

And WITH PED testing a thing? A legit chase of Maris’s HR record should be acknowledged as the mark imo.

Was just looking at that myself, I'd love to see Judge get 60 (or more). Partly because he'd be the only "clean" hitter to hit for 60 or more twice in his career.

Also, find it interesting Bonds only hit 50 or more once in his entire career...and I should have watched more MLB when Ken Griffey Jr. was playing, dude was amazing.

I agree wholeheartedly

meteor

but seriously yes i agree bama pulls it out in a very tight one. Kirby is going to unleash everything but I fear bama may still be fully stocked post-saban and have the better team chemistry as it stands right now. but its the closest game to a coin flip ive had all year. will be a great game to watch albeit the wrong color uniforms
I have a nagging feeling that UGA is going to smother Bama this game, and that they go into a —for them— tailspin. Could just be a pressure headache though

Meteor would be pretty cool too
