Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I remember several 'terribly' coached games under Butch and Heup. The Georgia State game really sticks out where the players couldn't even line up right. With Heup, I haven't seen a terribly called game. I've seen players underperform which has something to do with our lesser talent in previous years. This year, we have the talent with good depth thus I don't expect a let down. I'm with you, other than Bama and Georgia (and we can beat them), win out.
You guys do realize that sometimes the other team just plays outta their mind don't you? And it has nothing to do with "letting down".

These SEC teams all have elite talent sprinkled throughout their rosters.

Does anyone else remember when Travis Henry injured his neck at the goal line against Vandy and had to be carted off. His mom got on the back of the gator and was so heavy the front wheels came off the ground and it would not turn. This my brain on a bye week.
Yes I remember the injury, but not the Gator being weighed down.

Both knees, both shoulders gone...seven total extreme herniated discs, stenosis and spurring throughout spine, extreme arthritis in hands and feet and elbows.

It is a miracle I am able to move...every doctor I've had has told me that I have extremely high pain tolerance...for which I am abundantly thankful.

Heupel didn't blow anything year 1...he did awesome that year with the roster he had to work with. Not to mention fixing a horrid losing culture that had been ingrained into the very soul of the program by 15 years of disgusting ineptitude.

I do not understand the way y'all think sometimes.
Ppl forget Heupel inherited a 3-7 team…I get they want to forget it but it’s still true and crazy not to add that context

I believe it’ll be white helmet, orange pants against Arkansas. There are new orange helmets, not the ones worn in 22. They’re supposed to be actual Tennessee orange and match their orange on the uniforms much better. Probable to wear them against Vandy like others have said, don’t see them at a home game and wouldn’t wear them against UGA as they want to keep UF, Bama, UGA in more traditional uniforms

I humbly ask that each of you be in prayer for those affected by Hurricane Helene. I know some of you have been directly affected or know someone who has, and your lives will never be the same. I‘ve been fortunate enough to serve those in the affected areas of the Big Bend/Nature Coast since last Friday, and it will take years for Steinhatchee and the immediate surroundings to recover. Storm surge was easily 10-12’ in the hardest hit areas. We encountered one just-shy-of-elderly lady who was so gracious and kind, even through the depths of despair she’d endured. Fortunately, she evacuated and her house, other than some cleanup and replacements, was spared. It’s those moments that make what I do humbling and worthwhile. Here’s a few photos I captured in Steinhatchee:

I, too, will be in prayer for all those affected, that God may provide peace and healing that surpasses all understanding. Godspeed, Vols!
