Elarbee has a good history. I’m pretty sure he was a Broyles finalist at one stop, and his lines have broken records at multiple locations. He didn’t recruit Darnell Wright, but his development helped him get drafted. The main issue has been glaring since Josh Heupel arrived on campus. The main issue is the reason 3-3-5 has been an issue at every stop for Heupel. There is no pass protection.
Dating back to his Missouri days. Glen Elarbee has built multiple picket fence O-lines for Josh Heupel. And he continues to still have a job. Who has he developed? Genuine question. Other position coaches on this staff have shown they can develop players. Why can’t he?
Lol… Are you serious? Where in the world were you throughout the decade of ineptitude with Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt as our head coach? We have had many many more disappointing losses than last night. Was it frustrating as all get out? Yes! Disappointing? Yes! The most disappointing loss? Not even remotely close. Let’s flush the thing straight down the toilet and hope the team does the same thing and beat the crap out of Florida. That's one of the most disappointing loses I've ever seen as a fan. We finally have a pretty good roster after the last 20 years of BS (we knew defense was weak in 2022). Heupel is known for explosive offenses and we've got plenty of talent on that side of the ball. You put up 14 against Arkansas? The defense definitely was off but still kept Arkansas from putting up a lot of points. The offense was bland and ineffective. Zero creativity. It's like the coaches suddenly expect us to just out-talent teams like that. Everything should be lining up for Tennessee this season but the passing game is mostly ineffective against defenses with a pulse. I don’t get it. I know Nico isn't going to be perfect and should get better, but it's beyond disappointing what we saw...and it's hard to think they'll suddenly turn it around next weekend.
I get what you are saying, but at the end of the day it is pay for play. I doubt Nico comes here without that NIL deal. That performance was not up to the pay for play standard. He is paid to perform, that is why he is there. Not fair to think of it that way. He’s getting paid like college kids do now. Professional standards for professionals only. Nonetheless, he has to be way better than last night

Remember when Heup said this “I pulled back a tad just because the way our defense was playing, hell of a job”
He didnt pull back , it was the same plays in the OK game. This offense is bad
Can you not read? I said "one of the most disappointing" and then described why I feel that way. Under Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt...it was almost expected that the team would struggle and lose to lesser teams. We've got the most complete roster since the late 90s and they laid an egg.Lol… Are you serious? That's my frustration. TN was coming off a bye, while Arky played 5 straight games and was beat up. TN should have never lost that game. Just disappointed.Arky clearly wanted that game more than we did. Bye week prep and game plan were terrible. So many costly mistakes that great teams don’t make. Shocked we coached and played that poorly.

Anyway here you are recommending attempted murder for a guy who pushed somebody
100%. Nico was inaccurate last night, throwing passes behind receivers and not throwing them open. O-line did not play well.I can see the board is red hot so I will make my one post on the game and leave it for a bit.
The offensive players failed to execute as a group. You can make it other things, but that is what i saw.
Linemen failed to get push
Recievers failed to get separation
Nico failed to make passes
If Nico is gonna be that guy he can't overthrow those guys at the end of the game or take sacks when he could throw it away.
He's a RS freshman and he looked like one, but he gets paid the big bucks and we needed him to be better. He knows that too.
I will be in the stands for Florida, and I hope some of you will too. The season isn't over even if some of your expectations are.
A lot of good teams have lost games. We can still achieve our goals.
