But… we had one scoring drive from our end of the field. Everything else… Defense + OT gave us the field to win.

That’s not scalable against a better team.
Offense is gonna have to manifest momentum more than once against Bama.

We were gonna score on our first drive then we gifted them a fumble, offense has definitely lost its confidence

Hendon Hooker got thrown on the trash heap after his first 2 years at VT because their impatient idiot fans did what our impatient idiot fans are doing....that is obviously how we got him to start with, NOBODY here was excited about getting him..

Hendon didn't become a great QB right off the bat or overnight...it took a few years of learning and seeing.

Let's run off Nico for not being a polished super quarterback as a freshman, and watch him go win the Heisman somewhere else his Jr or Sr year...that should be fun..

Not a stretch to say he could probably keep it going.

Bru is a man. Has played well and then got hurt. Again, our problem is getting them the ball. Thornton has played well when he’s gotten the chances. Need a better OL and decision making by the QB.

You forget Hyatt was loudly scourged here until that year..and Tillman was never expected to be what he became..AFTER..Heupel and crew got a hold of him.

That was pathetic, and it kinda killed the drive. I think there’s a really good chance Nico never fumbles that ball if we were allowed to keep playing at tempo that drive.

I’m not writing him off at all, I just have more questions about him than I expect seven games into his career. He can answer those over the remainder of the season, and I’m excited to watch him do so.
