That's what was supposed to be doing the flyover. They switched to f15s for some reason. There were 2 f15s and 1 t38 in formation and then 1 t38 behind them about 20 seconds.

Strange. Also had what looked like a c17 come by about 2 minutes later. They must still be doing training flights. Usually they do them the week of the game, but they must be doing them this week instead.

It has some military on the back side of the airport. Air Force I believe.

The Bama mystique and intimidation factor is gone. And it's not coming back under DeBoer. They are just another team now, albeit one with a lot of talent. Very beatable, very flawed. They already remind me of UGA under Richt, actually.

Might not be a popular opinion, but I think they'd be having a similar season had Saban stayed. They had been falling off from their peak under Saban each of the last few years and went from a very disciplined team to one that shot themselves in the foot often. Maybe they get more favorable officiating if Saban was still coach, but I doubt they'd be much better had he stayed. All the legendary coaches that keep coaching into their 70s see their team's on-field performance fall off and I think Saban even saw it coming. It's too hard to micro-manage on the level Saban used to when he's in his 70s.

Yes, I think Saban knew he wasn’t going to win it all again and decided to get out. Now they lost some talent after he left but they are still loaded. Saban was a robot and most coaches aren’t able to replicate that level of insanity so you’re seeing that dropoff as well.

something to think about is air patrols for big events like 100K people in response to terrorism threats. I don5 know if they still publicize threat levels like after 9/11, but there has been chatter lately.
