So the SEC tie-breakers for the Championship game are as follows.
A. Head-to-head competition among the tied teams
B. Record versus all common Conference opponents among the tied teams
C. Record against the highest (best) placed common Conference opponent in the Conference standings, and proceeding through the Conference standings among the tied teams
D. Cumulative Conference winning percentage of all Conference opponents among the tied teams
E. Capped relative total scoring margin versus all Conference opponents among the tied teams
F. Random draw of the tied teams
You have 3 1 loss teams right now... Texas vs A&M will eliminate 1.
Best case Vols win out and we're in Atlanta as a 1 loss and will make playoffs win or lose that game. I like our chances against A&M better, so would pull for them to upset the Longhorns.
Ole Miss should finish with just 2 losses
Bama should finish with just 2 losses
LSU should finish with just 2 losses
Assuming the worst case and you end up with just Texas as a 1 loss and a log jam...
Vols, 1-1 in head to head only playing Bama & Georgia
Ole Miss, 1-1 in head to head only playing LSU & Georgia
LSU, 1-2 in head to head playing Ole Miss, A&M & Bama
Bama, 3-1 in head to head playing Georgia, Missouri, LSU, & Vols
Georgia, 1-2 in head to head playing Bama, Ole Miss, & Vols
Missouri, 0-2 in head to head playing Bama & A&M
A&M, 2-0 in head to head playing Missouri & LSU
Texas, 0-1 in head to head only playing Georgia (if A&M wins this would be how Texas stacks up)
So even in that scenario Bama still couldn't make it to Atlanta...
So at this point the only way Bama CAN make the SEC title game is if A&M beats Texas AND Georgia beats us.
