I've never thought of Charleston as anything but a tourist town. Doesn't seem like a great place to live.I’ve been to all, but only lived in SA (5 years) and Charleston (5 years in Charleston, 18 more in the area)
Loved SA, but that was 30 years ago while in the AF.
Just moved from Charleston. Every time we go back to visit family we’re so thankful we don’t live there anymore. Great place to visit, but have zero desire to move back.
If we decided to move out west I’d have no problem with either Idaho or Montana based on short visits and what I know. Love the lifestyle there. But them winters….
The southwestern part of South Dakota may have been our favorite as far as a place to live out west. But again, them winters.
Denver area is beautiful and expensive. From people I know there, there are much better places to live in CO if your job allows such.
Savannah is pretty and that’s all I know about it.
But really, it’s all about what you’re looking for. If constant traffic, and heat/humidity don’t bother you, and you like the ocean, then you may love Charleston.
Going through a situation where is was wronged financially by a “friend”. Really really fighting myself over what to do. My instinct is to take action in a physical way, because if I press charges or file a lawsuit it will be more trouble than it’s worth, not to mention the passage in Matthew 5:40 if a man takes your coat…. He probably needs the money more than I do. It’s just burning me up to not do anything. I think Jesus would want me to let it go, but that’s so tough for me to stomachYou and I are very similar. I always want to fight in fight to flight situations and can't stand injustice and people doing the wrong thing and hurting people. Just do the right thing but I need to change. Today the sermon was to trust in him even in the valley and obey because that is when he does great things.
Because it’s so convenient for someone who knows they are sinning to use that verse as justification and defense against anyone calling them out. The enemy knows the Bible better than we do, and one of his better tricks is using a twisted version of it against us.Also one of the verses most taken out of context.
