I’ve been saying WR has to be our priority.
I agree Georgia deliberately schemed our rush package from being able to sub through hurry up, the coaches are getting way to cute with the rotation which caused what you saw Saturday. Was a damn good game plan and we failed to adjust
The problem is the underclass men are unreliable and Squirrel, McCoy and Thornton have been injured since the OU game. Thornton has been the only one close to being a game breaker. The young guys like Brazzel who do get separation are still inconsistent or Nico overshoots them in games prior. Talent is there. In fact as a unit I think we are very good but the problem is we have no one close to great. We have talented WRs. It's silly to pretend that we don't. Part of the problem is scheme. The dink and dunk passes are part of Heupel's scheme to open up down field shots. Then it's up to Nico to throw an accurate downfield ball. He struggled with that earlier in the season but has gotten better. Or receivers have also struggled making catches. The question is why? Maybe the receivers coach needs to be looked at? People keep clamoring for Matthews, but maybe our WR coach hasn't been able to get him ready yet? When it's the whole group struggling, at what point do you question their coach?
You should be more mad about the Arkansas game. And concerned about the Defensive line going into its shell. Defense plays like crap in big time SEC matchups. It's Monday morning...
I'm still pissed now that I've seen all the video of bad/missed calls from the game.
How in the F is bama three spots ahead of us when we have the same record and they lost head to head to us? (in before the name on their jersey, which is probably correct)
Just try to win out, try to beat Vandy by at least a few TD's, and see what bowl game we are heading to... I will be shocked if they still slide us into the playoff at this point with how the AP poll ranked us...
SMH... maybe by the end of the season, some of the orange sunshine pumpers will finally realize that Heup and staff are definitely what we needed and I am very happy with what they've done and accomplished overall, but they are not perfect and have made some mistakes this season that probably cost us one W...
Stoerner’s Fumble posted a month back or so that Matthews is a very good run blocker. (If you believe some of the guys on this site)So 1 play = elite blocker? I mean...they've had how many practices and other games this year and you cherry pick his ONE good block?
I could pick one of Squirrel's great catches and share that every time people complain about drops... I guess from now on.
To me there is a reason the younger WR talent isn't on the field... and I don't think it's because Heupel's an idiot.
I follow you. It all makes sense on the field. Here's what sucks...
Our best win is Bama at home
Bama's best wins are Georgia at home and at LSU
Georgia's best wins are Clemson, at Texas, and home against us
Ole Miss's best win is at home against Georgia
Texas' best win is at Vandy (lol)
A&M's best win is beating LSU at home
Texas vs A&M will either put Texas in the playoffs or put both out (I think A&M winning then getting waxed in Atlanta would hurt Texas majorly)
Objectively unless they make/lose in Atlanta I think Bama and Georgia both are staring at a playoff birth. I think Texas beats A&M and they're end regardless of Atlanta. A&M has to win out to get in. Ole Miss and Vols both are going to need to win out and do so with some style points.
How is lsu considered a big win when they lose to Florida, seems like beating Florida is betterHere's what sucks...

Unfortunately, I think it will take a lot to 86 Texas
The CFP is a TV product at the end of the day, and Texas is an enormous fanbase/market. They'll travel well and buy tickets too.
I do think that you are correct.I mean they just need 1 win and they're in... beat A&M OR win SEC title in Atlanta...because losing to Georgia is going to be considered the best loss of any team with just 1.
But losing to A&M (and then the Aggies getting waxed in Atlanta) will be a big talking point.
If I was betting....I'd take Texas, Bama, Georgia to be in the playoffs though... as of today.

In other the same old crap -- even with the 12 team playoff.I mean they just need 1 win and they're in... beat A&M OR win SEC title in Atlanta...because losing to Georgia is going to be considered the best loss of any team with just 1.
