Recruiting Football Talk VIII

We had our Thanksgiving gathering at noon. And I just happened to have done something way out of the box and made a turkey lasagna (with eggplant and mushrooms) earlier tonight. It's baked, and I was going to let it rest in the frig for a day or two before diving in.

But I'm starting to think about a second-half "snack" during this Tulane game. 😂
I already dove back into some pumpkin pie and sweet potatoe casserole 😂

I wonder if Ryan Silverfield gets a Power 4 job after this season, if they hold on and win this game, it would be back to back 10 wins seasons he's had at Memphis.
He was kind of on a warm seat at Memphis. He didn’t live up to expectations for the first few seasons, and their expectation this year was to at least play in the conference title game. They have a 4th year QB and brought in a great transfer class with NIL money. But at 9 wins this year, he got an extension.

UT - 38
Vanderbilt - 34

Whit Taylor threw for the second most yrds in SEC history, but it wasn’t enough, as UT defeated Vandy 38-34 in Knoxville. James Berry rushed for 102 yrds, Steve Alatorre had 10 completions for 319 yrds and 2 TDs, and Willie Gault had 4 receptions for 219 yrds including an 80 yrd TD. After two blowout losses to start the year, the Vols finished 7-4 and went to the Garden State Bowl.

My freshman year! 🤠

I just lost my mother to dementia last month. Every visit that I had with her, back in Tennessee the past couple of years, felt like the last one. Last Christmas was the last one. Today was hard. But I believe that she was redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Death and pain are no longer in her vocabulary. Prayers for your son in law’s mother. Prayers for strength for your son in law. A really tough road lies ahead for him.
Lost dad to dementia this year. You’re right. You have to start thinking of each visit as the best visit remaining. Always anticipate a decline each visit, but it’s a pleasant surprise when you get a visit with clarity or recognition. It’s a nasty disease. Sorry for your loss.

Maybe change out of your Vols shirt first in the parking lot.

Best wishes. Remember, it’s not Black Friday. It’s Playoff Clinch Eve.
It's Nashville. Even at Vanderbilt Hospital you're likely to see more Vols gear than you are Vandy gear. Besides, those sissy Vandy fans don't scare me.

I like your side better..lol..let's go with your feeling, because mine sucks and I hate it.
My cup has been on all week

I am king of the sunshine pumpers, but helll naw, seen way too much BS over the years and our offense forgets how to tie its own shoes sometimes.

COMPLETE WIDE OPEN PASSES

CATCH WIDE OPEN PASSES

DONT FUMBLE IN THE REDZONE

DONT GET A PENALTY ON 3RD DOWN

If we could just simply execute the relatively easy wide open plays that are there EVERY FREAKING GAME...we would be scoring 40 a game and be undefeated..

It is the weirdest thing I've ever seen...just seems to be a series of unfortunate events, but I really think that what has happened, is that early on a few weird things happened, and from there literally everybody got in their head...I don't think it's physical ability/talent related...I 100% believe it is just a mental thing.

It's like the whole offense is just waiting/expecting for something strange to happen...and it becomes a self fulfilling thing.

Confidence is a strange thing.
