No they would have to be among the top 4 ranked conference champions which I doubt they would be. They’re already going to drop to probably 16-18 with that loss yesterday.

I don’t think it’s likely. not saying you are, but folks are just looking at the names of the teams thinking Clemson will likely beat SMU. After they loss to BYU early, they’ve beat most teams decisively. They are solid on both sides of the ball.

I don’t think you’re giving SMU much credit. They are a good football team. Many of their contributors transferred from good programs.

They are solid defensively but have avoided Miami and Clemson. I donlt trust their QB against a good defense. I don't like Klubnik either, but at least he has faced top defenses.

I disagree. He inherited a fully built national championship program and has squandered it.

He was always gonna be a step down from Urban Meyer. He is, and has been Kalen Deboer with a wayyy easier schedule.

They would’ve beaten Miami imo. Miami’ has no defense. And SMU has beaten most of the similar opponents worse than Clemson has. SMU is pretty good. I’ve watched their games. And again who has Miami played? Not a single top 25 team (unless you count Louisville). I’m not saying SMU is guaranteed to beat Clemson, but that people would be mistaken to write them off because they are pretty good.
