So, if we’re #6 in both the AP and Coaches poll ahead of OSU, surely the committee isn’t going to screw us and give them the home game over us?? Wards Manuel, it’s time to be a Michigan man and screw your bitter rival.

All comes down to close margins. We're only 26 votes ahead (AP) and 49 ahead (coaches).

Committee has far, far fewer voters, so it would only take 1 to be different from AP or coaches.

But this does help us. The anchoring bias is now in their heads. They see the "consensus" and are more likely to play into it, even if they're not supposed to.

Playoffs are gonna need to do reseeding after this year. If a 12 seed upsets the 5 seed in round 1 there’s absolutely zero reason the 4 seed should get the benefit of playing the lowest seeded team in the semi’s

Obviously we don’t know how it’ll go until after conference champ weekend. But as of rn bama will get to play ND or Psu in round 1 and then Bsu or Smu in the semi’s……

Indiana @ UGA

I think we want Texas and Oregon to win next week... For sure. Maybe they drop three losers a spot? Especially if tx/Oregon wins big? They would drop PSU behind OSU right?

If Clemson beats SMU... The ACC champ falls out of the top 4.. big 12 winner likely moves up to that spot especially if it's az St.... And Clemson gets in at 12.. First team out is still USCe. Brutal for USCe... If they don't get in this week..I'm not sure there's a path barring minds being changed after the title games for some reason...

What we don't need is Oregon and/or Texas losing and then figuring out how far to drop them.. At that point we're on the road.

It’s hilarious that Tennessee could possibly be the 7th ranked team on Tuesday and still be on the road because of this flawed system. Giving two lower ranked teams an automatic bye is so dumb.

I'm not sure about that at all. It would be 'cleaner'certainly for them to more or less swap places.... So I get that.

But there's a world where psu winning causes the committee to revaluate where OSU is.. Since they beat psu in happy valley...

At the end of the day, our best chance of moving up or staying put is chalk in three big 10 and sec.

Thats like saying the AA tournament should re seed. It's just the the luck of the draw.

Agree. If the goal is to create a good product and crown a worthy champion, re-seeding is the way to go.
