We’re not gonna get every one to the finish line, nobody does. There will be a couple of good surprises in the next four days. Dwell on the negative if you must. However, in my opinion, anyone that seriously criticizes our current recruiting given the hell we’ve been through the last 15 years is an insufferable cup is always half empty type person.

I'm pretty sure crack back is when a receiver/player in the back field comes from the side into a DL. Do you mean blindside or peel back?

I think the NCAA rule book says “blindside,” but the definition is back towards your own endzone + something other than straight on. Again, I’m going from memory and not trying to be disagreeable.

Since we can't seem to go a full day without something to panic and hand wring about:
Some recruits will flip from us, some will flip to us. We will get involved in the portal to the degree the staff feels the need to upgrade. We will lose some in the portal as well. For me personally, the staff has earned my trust (not that it matters) to make decisions about roster makeup. Hate that the kid from Toombs made that decision but having been around that area, I feel certain he was getting absolutely NO support to come to UT.

We did not lose this kid because of anything we did or didn’t do. Somebody,likely the gators, threw enough money at the kid that he decided that was more important than sticking with his commitment.
Time will tell how much of a loss this was.
Hand wringing and belly aching do nothing but cause belly aches.
In the meantime, have faith in the coaches and our recruiting process. Recruiting is not for the faint of heart in this day and age for sure.
We’re just in year four and our recruiting evaluation and approach seems to be working out pretty well

We're actually good at the game of football again.

We no longer have to try and win the offseason. We're free from the Decembers of Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt

The best two DBs in our backfield came from the portal. I'll panic when it's clear I need to and not a minute before. Even then, panicking doesn't do anything but hurt me, so I might just decide that the best time to panic is never.

How the hell is Florida able to flip many 4 star players including a 4 star guy from Texas…. 3 straight losing seasons… This year they’re a wonderful 7-5… AUBURN… great class and like 3-4 straight losing seasons as well with them flipping guys from teams as well.

Not OP, but OSU did beat PSU and Indiana, it seems we'd rather play one of them imo.

Statistically they appear to be the best of those teams as well.

I’d absolutely rather play PSU or Indiana over OSU. It’s not even a debate.
