Could easily happen. Anyone can beat anyone this year. Not sure we'd want it to happen. I think even if they do lose badly, they drop to at worst the 9 spot.Hot take: uga loses by double digits
Reaction to Playoff DrawView attachment 702968
I liked our projected draw in the playoffs yesterday. I think we have a very favorable route. I want a home game very badly but it's really not a bad draw otherwise.
I really think they will move uga behind us if they lose, especially if psu loses too. Theres going to be reshuffling, but to what extent. I think they will try to avoid inter conference rematches for rd 1.Could easily happen. Anyone can beat anyone this year. Not sure we'd want it to happen. So, the realistic options to me are:
vs UGA
@ UGA
@ Penn State
@ Ohio State
Of those four, honestly, give me at Penn State. I think we'd win going away in that game.
I don't want to play Georgia, regardless. I don't think you discount the fact that if we play one of the B10 teams, they have two weeks to figure the offense out for the first time. Kirby already has a dedicated folder for stopping the offense pinned to his desktop.
Big 10 wants and will get 4 teams in
If Penn State loses they'll drop behind Ohio State, but in front of Indiana. (which will move us up one)
If Texas loses they'll drop out of top 4 but stay ahead of us, Notre Dame would probably be the only team that benefits (if any do)
We really just need to slide up 1 spot and we're hosting... not the best spot to be in, but at least we're not in Bama's situation where Clemson winning the ACC could take them out.
Just need Texas and Oregon to win. We'd move up at least one spot, maybe even two.Big 10 wants and will get 4 teams in

Why do you think that? Is there a rule that says any conference champion loser can fall but not fall below Tennessee?I've seen this a few times. Am I missing something? You're right, but only Ohio State would move up one in that case. They would not move Penn State behind us. Penn State would become the #8 and that's where we would end up playing. Right?
If they start moving around teams who didn't even play in order to avoid rematches, the reaction is going to be wild. Granted, they don't care. Nothing to do with Tennessee, everything to do with the fact that Tennessee is in the 9 spot. They will reshuffle teams based on the results of the conference championship games. But they won't punish a team for losing that game by taking them from playing at home to on the road. Which is why I don't think Penn State or Georgia will drop below #8.Why do you think that? The order of the teams who didn’t play, wont change. They will position (drop) uga & psu to where it they dont play tenn/bama/osu in the first round. For ex:If they start moving around teams who didn't even play in order to avoid rematches, the reaction is going to be wild. Granted, they don't care. So could happen.
It's obvious that changes have to be made to the playoff seeding and OT. This OT setup is like a 5* chef cooking a brilliant meal and then Troy from the trailer park's dog laying a greasy turd across the top of it.Does the committee have a certain number of years to stay in tact contractually?
Or will new members be appointed for next season?
How long is Wards the chair?
It isn’t working.
