It's nonsense bravado.I care too. But that doesn't make the only appropriate attitude to take into this game "nonsense bravado."
And we don't have to play "every game" on the road. Just this one.
We didn't even have OTs in those first two road games. They have no sway over what happens this month. Anything can happen. I hope we have our best offensive performance of the year.
Is not nonsense bravado imo, its tactical bravado. What you are saying is true, but he knew our fans and potentially some of players would (justifiably) complain about the seeding and he wanted to head that off and say "Look, we don't care. We are going to play wherever". Players love that kind of talk and so do our fans, since I've seen that quote all over the place after the selection. It's nonsense bravado.
You can say "we believe we can beat OSU at their place" and be reasonably confident.
"anytime anyone anywhere" is nonsense bravado.
Fair, we'll said.Is not nonsense bravado, its tactical bravado. And yet not one word about the third team they lost to. I’ve seen all across the media about their losses to Okie and Vandy. Not one word about their loss to us. They lost to VANDY for goodness sakes (it’s my no cuss on our lords day and we didn’t). Nail in the coffin with them, and they should have came to terms when it happen. I firmly believe that the committee took them out then. Not enough money was exchanged. The tears are delicious
What is the main OSU message board? I'm going to see if any fan hates Ryan Day enough to make a deal on some tickets.
Confidence Level: OSU vs. Tennessee
I try not to start a ton of threads. When I do, I either have a lot to say and treat it almost like a column. Or, I have a quandary. This is the latter. Basically, doing what Doug Lesmerises might do with his text subscribers. What is your confidence level that OSU can beat Tennessee? 0 to 10 0...www.elevenwarriors.com
OSU sucks. Now, call me an idiot. I don't give a damn. They have a lot of talent on that team, but their coach is in over his head. Ran Day struggles in big games. He gets in his own head. We gonna whoop that ass. Nut up, Tits McGee!I'm not Josh Heupel....I can be objective. If you think just because Meatchicken ran them at home means that we are going to run them at home, then you are not that bright.
That is one of the most ferocious rivalries in all of sports and OSU clearly lost simply because UM is in their head....I hate to break this to you, but we are not in their head, there will be no psychological edge for us.
They are pissed off and embarrassed, and they are going to play like their hair is on fire...and they have one of the two most deeply stacked rosters in CFB.
Winning this game is going to be a monumental achievement...if we play our best, then we can win, but we don't play our best against good teams on the road.
Also...anybody that says "OSU sucks" is an idiot, I don't know any people that think "OSU sucks". Just because our people think we have a better resume and deserve to host the game...does not Jean we think OSU sucks.
This is simply the truth of our current place in the rebuild...if we were playing at Neyland, this is a likely win, but with it being in Columbus it is a likely loss...we simply have not shown the ability to play great against good teams on the road.
I would love to see that narrative change...but I don't expect it will right now.
I hope you're right and I'm wrong...I will gladly eat crow....I actually love to eat Crow.
They played two good teams this season: Oregon and Penn State. Lost one and could have lost the other, but PSU couldn’t convert on two trips inside the 5. Then the obvious terrible loss against Michigan cannot be overstated. But don’t forget their game against Nebraska. A small margin of victory at home against that mediocre Nebraska team. What I’m trying to say is that they are not some juggernaut.I'm not Josh Heupel....I can be objective. If you think just because Meatchicken ran them at home means that we are going to run them at home, then you are not that bright.
