Recruiting Football Talk VIII

NCAA doesn’t specifically require it to be the on field coaches that can go out and recruit.
Teams just have to designate who. In the past when before ESD existed it wouldn’t be uncommon for position coaches to leave and if they didn’t have a replacement someone random (GA, Stength coach, even AD) on the staff would get designated as on off campus recruiter.
Schools have entire departments that handle recruiting, add to that the collectives shouldering a large part as well. The coach going to watch games and looking over film is not all there is to it.

Is Okpara injured or something? Last night he got beat by the guy he was guarding numerous times. The Deacon actually went to a lineup in 2nd half with Igor and Cade down low.
Okpara had a bad game for sure. Case has been playing surprisingly well this seems to be getting better week to week. This team is playing more fluid than last year. A lot of times last year it was guys standing watching Knect do his thing.

Protect your home by letting some double talking, greasy-palmed, pencil-neck politician make an unenforceable law. Certainly, a sign of strength that everyone will respect. I can see it now, Michigan player pepper sprayed & arrested this year. OSU player tazed and arrested next year. That won't result in the spread of violence between the fan bases and states at all.

I bet some French lawmaker suggested a specific law forbidding the Germans to invade France during WWII. Stupid laws work...

Lanier is the go to scorer when a bucket is needed most definitely. Igor is mister do everything, a stretch 4 that makes a big difference for this years team compared to last season.

Igor last night 16/9/2 I will take those numbers every game.
I really think Igor is the real difference maker for this team. We would have been much better last year if we had him. And I am not just talking about scoring. He makes teams play us differently. We ate Miami's 2-3 zone last night.

Apparently they are switching the UF and UGA games for next year….so we may get uga and bama back to back, because of course

ADs for other schools with "harder" schedules this year have been bitching behind the scenes all year, no doubt about it. We'll be on their intended "screwed" list for next year. Of course, no one knows the future and what teams will under/over perform. We could end up with a manageable schedule and not know it yet. But they will be fine stiffing us to try to ease the path for the teams (like UGA) that whined all year long.

Was just easy for SEC offices to flip the script on 2025 schedule, for the fact I think they be looking ahead to a 9 game conference schedule in 2026.
