Recruiting Football Talk VIII

It is crazy how uneven the bracket is. Not saying we’ll waltz through it or anything (it ain’t been that kind of year), but your side is so much deeper than ours.
Half of the teams in the playoff don't need to be and 5 of them are in Georgia's side. A lot of lousy games in general I believe. It is set up to have at least one large fanbase in each game though. The games may suck but at least they will get the eyeballs on all of them, that's what's really important.

Is Okpara injured or something? Last night he got beat by the guy he was guarding numerous times. The Deacon actually went to a lineup in 2nd half with Igor and Cade down low.

Honestly would be a smart decision to do all of this.

I actually like the two staffs idea. Have a whole recruiting staff run by a sitting college GM would be awesome, imo.
If College Football goes that way, along with its current trajectory of everything being predetermined according to ESPN's bidding, along with helter skelter playoff choices predicated on politics - I'm absolutely done.

Cannot handle the NFL, NBA, or even pro Baseball.

Watching last night's bball game, it occured to me. Game was called much like a pro game, in fact I think crew calls pro games.

The banter is always about Thanksgiving turkeys, this player did that in 1968, talking about tourney in five months. Occasionaly they would interrupt their own off topic banter to oogle over a 3 pointer or jam.

Point is, it is no longer about the sport. It becomes about entertainment. The commentators are so bored with the product, they talk about stupid crap.

NCAA couldve done something by getting front of this. People couldve intervened. instead here we are...

From your lips to God’s ears. I know a certain vocal sliver of UGA fans have a reputation for cockiness, but I think most of us have Munson in our souls. We worry. I’m worried.

In case anyone doubts the garbage path we drew. We will potentially need to defeat every team with 500 or better odds to win it all. That might be the single most impressive accomplishment in the history of playoff.

Just win.

I am glad it is that way and I really like where we are. If you pray for a magical season, if we run the bracket it will the the most magical in history, movies will be made. If we pull it of imagine the ride, absolutely glorious and I can die a happy man. We could be in the midst of the greatest era of any college of anytime. We could say we beat Corbin and the Vandy Whistler, the NCAA, the SEC, the refs, the Bammers, the Dogs, March Madness, we are going to beat them all.
These are the good old days. WGWTFA.

Tennessee weather is nutty. I'm gonna go to the same spot and take a drone video of what it looks like today, compared to yesterday, 😂
As the legendary Knoxville weather caster Margie Ison used to say…
“If you don’t like our weather today, just hang out for a little while and it’ll change….and, what the hell, where’s my drink 🍹

They absolutely screwed us, and actually they screwed OU and OSU also...this bracket makes zero sense.

This just feels impossible 😖

If we can somehow miraculously pull this off...it would have to be considered one of the greatest feats in College Football history. Has anybody in any season ever beat 4 of the top 5-6 teams in a row? (That is assuming UGA and Texas also win until they would play us in this scenario)
And we are going to ram it right back up their azz. This is going to be epic. Old men will weep, children will sing songs, and women will name their children for us.
