I really hope Ohio has not made planting a helmet on Ohio Field a crime as well. It seems from that video that someone has done exactly that. I don't think we will be able to stand up to weather like that. I mean that is clearly snow. My God what are we in for? I just pray that no one suffers permanent damage or disfigurement.

I can actually see it being pretty middle of the road. I think he'll do what BOB is doing at BC. Maybe a little better.

It will be interesting to see how recruiting goes. The man is probably the most well connected NFL guy in the history of college athletics, so there will be appeal in that regard. On the other hand, he never had the reputation of being a player's coach or a developer of talent. Quite the opposite actually. So it will be interesting.

If he does crash and burn, it will further cement his status in my mind as the most overrated coach in the history of organized sports. So there's that.

Smokey probably gets the high end fare. If we want him to do it up proper, we need to feed him up on some OL'Roy for about a week or so.

If he can get upgrades to facilities and the stadium finished, its grand slam no matter if he fails or not.

Those two things alone will put them in the next tier for football and will be a tremendous help for whoever is after.

Ultimately, I think he will do a hell of a job. I think he’s going to take the Ole Miss route and just absolutely hit the portal hard. I’d say a majority of his team/recruiting will be the portal, it’s the most like free agency and something he could really thrive off of, because you REALLY don’t need relationships, just enough cash.

I disagree. He will be a dinosaur in philosophy after the mammals already took over. All the dictator authoritarian leaders are gone. He's such a dictator he's segregating himself from recruiting woes. Players won't want to talk to HR about why they aren't playing.

Most importantly his son sucks and he's nepotismed his way into a gaurantee he succeeds him.

Instead of finding new life they doubled down on their Biden. We already saw this story play out.

Name me one previously elite 70+ year old coach to have rekindled success in a whole new level. I will hang up and listen.

I can’t believe this will end well. He’s very abrasive and I doubt he can relate to college kids. Great pro coach but hard to imagine it will translate to college. Glad it’s not us.
