Some parts of Rock Hill is decent. They’re trying to revitalize the downtown area. Other parts to include around the main library is surrounded by homeless people.
I’m in Fort Mill, immediately north of Rock Hill - same county. There are three libraries within 20 minutes from our house that I take the kids to (not as frequently now that they’re all teens with cell phones ). The downtown Rock Hill library always had homeless people around the parking lot and sleeping inside, upstairs.
As far as the football part - I doubt that’s the case anymore. I know Malik Clark is from there and he’s committed to uscjr. Years ago there was a receiver committed to us from there but he ended up getting a git shirt and ended up nowhere that I remember. Early Pruitt era timeframe.
Outside of that - Fort Mill has had more big time talent come through but they just get “recruited” to schools in Charlotte. The 5 star Michigan commit QB from a couple years ago went to one of the schools in Fort Mill his junior year before ending up in Charlotte his senior year. Same with big time running back I believe.
I’m glad Oregon’s toughest game next year is @ PSU.
Smh
This is why I say Banks need to bring the heat vs OSU.

If Howard has time with that core Howard could pick us apart.
Nashville, Atlanta, and Charlotte are the three core areas for Tennessee recruiting. Always have been and always will be. When Tennessee is not good, we fall off in those areas. When Tennessee is good, we kill it in those areas and cherry pick elsewhere. It’s not about opening up new areas. It’s about maintaining those vital core areas.
So where does Tennessee always play neutral site games? Nashville, Atlanta, and Charlotte. That’s not a coincidence.
And honestly, they’re fun. We had a blast in Charlotte this year. We will have a blast in Atlanta next year. It’s better than another home game against an FCS school.
those big private schools, Providence Day, charlotte Catholic etc...they've been doing that for years....they got really good at cherry picking great athletes at charter shools too. that's why they usually all suck lol. football in mecklenburg county is so much better overall than it was 20 years ago.....and yeah, that rock hill, ft. mill area has turned out some talent. i know we've gotten several players over the years just from Rock Hill. Some parts of Rock Hill is decent. We might could live rushing four most of the time and not blitzing a ton. I think we can get pressure up the middle with our DTs, it's a mismatch. Howard throws it up for grabs quite a bit. I say we get a couple picks. This is why I say Banks need to bring the heat vs OSU.

Mack Brown is one of the very few coaches that can tout a national championship and that didn’t change much. There’s only one coach in the country who can march into a living room and plop 6 Super Bowl rings on the table.
I’m telling y’all he’s going to get a lot of talent to UNC for at least the first couple of years on name alone
I went to Northwestern when Benjamin Watson was there. A ton of kids from there and rock hill high went D1 and NFL, but back then rock hill was one of the elite suburbs of Charlotte and it had a really large low income area as well. Now the low income people got gentrified out and fort mill is kind of the elite suburb now, Rock Hill has passed its prime. Some parts of Rock Hill is decent.
