Recruiting Football Talk VIII

For one reason only...my deep abiding love of Tennessee...because I am a Tennessean.

Not the players, not the coaches, not because I thought it was cool and jumped on a bandwagon....but because of my pappaw and all of family...a legacy and tradition going back generations.

And that is why I put up with the 🦬💩....I will continue to put up with it until I can't anymore.

It's not a narrative...it's the damn truth.

I appreciate that, I was gonna ask if I could stick around lol
Dude, absolutely! We all know that deep down you will always be a Vol fan now. Once you get a taste of being a Vol fan, it just grows inside of you and can’t be undone. We are the greatest fanbase in the world.

He isn’t an elite DB or WR. Jeanty was the one who deserved it. CU could have sat Hunter and still won. Boise sits Jeanty and they are maybe a 3-4 win team.
I have a hard time giving the Heisman to guys who play 1 or 2 P4 teams and pad stats against mid major comp. If Jeanty had done what he did well in and week out against a P5 schedule, he would deserve it.

Hunter is absolutely elite. At both positions. There’s a reason he’s projected as a top 5 pick. The guy never came off the field. Don’t let your hatred of CU and Deion cloud your view of Hunter.

@butchna

I've stated for 5 years MaHomes is best QB in NFL but this season Josh Allen has taking that Narrative.

As of right now only thing that will stop Josh Allen is Josh Allen.
Allen plays for Bills. Mahomes the Chiefs. Both have great home venues, and play well there. Until I see Allen play like Mahomes, on the road when lights are on- and I mean in big game - it's Patrick. He is very Montana esque when game is on the line.

Braylon Russell is one if not the most talented back in the SEC. I say again, Braylon Russell is one if not the most talented backs in Country. It's absolutely worth considering, even despite all the obvious red flags - to kick tires there. But then I think about what we've been able to achieve in last four years, with smaller backs. And, I think we're golden.

Is it worth it?

I'll believe Hunter is elite when he shows it in the NFL. Part of me thinks he'll be a bust. I don't think he'll live up to expectations. And talking about schedules, was Colorado's schedule really that tough? Without Texas and OU, does the Big 12 really deserve to be called a power conference? I'd lean no.

It was a lot tougher than Boise’s. Especially considering opponents’ defenses.

If you watched Hunter and didn’t think he was elite, we’ll just have to agree to disagree. He was a generational talent.

I think he's a better defender than WR, but as long as he insists on both, he'll never be truly elite at either. I think if he focused on DB, he could actually reach elite. He has the athleticism, but it takes more than athleticism to succeed in the NFL. Not sure he has that focus. So I lean toward bust in the NFL. Time will tell.
