Great season BUT if we want to take the next step we need a dramatic improvement in talent. We were totally outclassed today. That’s why the argument for more 5 stars is legit. OSU beat us because they were significantly more talented.

I agree tonight but there’s 50 other QBs out there that would have played better than him tonight. He’s done squat all year, I don’t get the optimism with him. Excuse me, he sure beat the hell out of those first 4 cupcakes on our schedule.

What game were you watching? Nico was the only bright spot tonight. Dude was getting almost no help from his OL or his receivers.

Painful end to an otherwise great season. We overachieved, but entering year 5 and we’ve landed a few top 10 classes.

Time to take the next step, either in recruiting or on the field. Play calling since Alex left has been predictable & uninspired.

I’m still not on the Halzle train. As InVol is to Banks, I am to Halzle.

He’s got the talent, and I don’t know how anyone can deny that. Unlike Milton, this was his first season. He just needs to grow. First freshman to win 10 games at UT. Heupel is going to develop his QB’s and not bring in a one year portal one. He’s stacking them now.

OSU has won at least 11 games 11 of the past 12 years…TN was fighting for bowl eligibility just 3 years ago.

The level of talent OSU has accumulated over time because of that success is why tonight happened. Being that talented doesn’t happen overnight, but I get why most fans are impatient. I believe the talent will come.

Anyone blaming Nico for this needs to go back and watch this game. Nico played the best he can, but when no one is open and your o-line is missing blocks every down, what did you expect? This loss is on our secondary and our offensive game planning.

Honestly we were lucky to be in the playoff. Pretty overachieving season, we squeaked by and masked so many offensive issues this year.

Ellarbee needs to go. He’s a recruiting liability. Pope I’ll give some pass… as I think our WR Talent just isn’t great. Love Bru but the broken leg hobbled him and he ain’t the same athlete, Squirrel can’t stay healthy and falls down every catch, Thornton could be the best WR in the nation but he’s hobbled most the time, honestly Brazzel hasn’t impressed, Matthew’s and Staley needed more PT all year. Tonight was a tough spot for them with limited experience. Bottom line we need a talent injection to Safety, LB, WR, and OL.

Pope needs to go also. I don’t like calling for jobs, but we could get a much better recruiter and developer in that spot.

The Ellarbee thing is almost self-evident, at this point.

And I don’t like giving the Golesh cheerleaders ammo, but Heup could probably use a steadier hand at OC.

We descended on Ohio State as a scalp we could claim on our rise.

Boy did they prove that they remain a healthier program in many ways. Even when they are down, they are dangerous. No matter how bad we want it as a fanbase.

Like all other things that are worth a damn in life, there is no easy button

BIG shootout to Nico!

You could tell he was playing his heart out and left everything on the field. Far from a great game by him but he proved to me that he is a fighter and I'm proud of my QB.

Hell of a lesson experience this season for him but we should be better for it next year.

I think we have given Heupel some grace but something tells me that we will demand more, Heupel included, I have no doubts DW will open the check book. How fortunate is OSU to have CHIP KELLY as OC? I think Danny White will green light all the spending. Fans give their absolute all but we could do better. Vol Club still doesn’t have the that many members.

Oh well. Making it is better than not. I’ve watched too many 5/6 win seasons to be upset about a 10 win year and playoff birth

We recruited 1 five star and 15 four stars and ended 10th. Ohio State recruited 2 five stars and 18 four stars and ended 5th. This years class was fine, but it’s stacking multiple classes in a row that matter. The difference between the top 10 each year is usually not a whole lot. But the UGA’s, Bama’s, OSU’s do it every year.
