He’s really not. Tonight was by far his best rushing performance this year. Rushing stats for the entire year are awful.

They haven’t run him much until late in the year- pretty obvious. If they had called these designed runs against Arkansas, we may win. Just not a good take. I’ve said Nico needs to get better, but running isn’t the issue. Just needs to use his head and his progressions better.

Hate it for Mays, Omari Thomas, and the other seniors to end their college careers with such a beat down. Grateful they stayed (or came) when others left. They did a lot to help bring the program back.

Onto recruiting and settling the roster for next year and may Heupel take a look in the mirror, at his staff, and be willing to make the changes needed to keep this program on the upward trajectory.

We absolutely need a rb and wr or 2 in the portal, our lack of depth showed tonight and that’s basically what the depth will be next year

We need to recruit the best big and fast back in America. Give me big and fast over small and fast. You can have both but we need Jamal Lewis-Travis Henry type runner. We got to get top level talent and develop it. Players got to work on improving and live in the strength and conditioning facility to get stronger quicker. Heupel has brought us a long way, but it is that next step. In a lot of ways the whipping we took tonight was just like that 42-17 whipping we took by Nebraska in 1997. They put the ball down and we got whipped. Whipped physically and in quickness. If we want to take the next step start working out now. GBO

I am never wasting my money and time going to neutral site games and away games under Heupel. We never play well on the road and our coaches suck on the road. Until things change I wont waste a dime going on the road for ut

Neutral site? He’s 5-1 at neutral sites.

Other than Arkansas and a UF team, the road losses are to good teams. I’m not counting USC in 2022.

give me some fringe 4 star pro style with decent legs in 5a Georgia football who throws for 4600 yards and 50 touchdowns who can read pre snap and make adjustments on the call over elite athletic 5 star+ who can’t make the in game adjustments

We played two of the top 3 most talented teams in the country on the road this year. That’s really tough.

Running is not the “issue”. The issue is he does nothing well. He’s not a good runner that will win us a game with his legs. He’s looked quite bad running the ball most of the time on top of looking quite bad throwing the ball.
