Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Curious … where does this extra NIL come from? Donors? $16 beer? Company endorsements? I know the ticket sale surcharge take effect next year. Are teams taking the money from conference payouts to spend on players?

Who believes that teams release their NIL information to anyone, much less some goober on the internet? Or that if someone had that info (which they don't) they would not sell it instead of making a meme?
You dare question the authority and integrity of some random internet poster? What is this world coming to?

They’ve lost to weaker teams and barely scraped by against others. This is their first matchup against a Power 4 opponent all season. Weston, MTSU’s top scorer tonight, isn’t even a starter. Still, it’s a good test for the Vols. Being the No. 1 team doesn’t mean you can just walk onto the court and expect to win.
Also means that every single team you play is gonna be super pumped to beat you. Everyone is always trying to win, but they get a little extra juice with a chance to knock #1.

If only there were a foreign country where football is even more popular that we could poach elite players from
There are plenty of them in Europe in South America, but I don't think you'd be too happy with the recruiting results. You might land some outstanding place kickers out of it though.

Rumor over in Reddit (not trustworthy) said several payers for OSU failed a PED test. Interesting to see if it comes to fruition.
I made a post during the game thread wondering outloud if tOSU was on steroids. They looked huge, even for 5* college players. I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up being true. It'd be something else that we could say was similar to that 97 Nebraska team we played.
